Theres 2 less skill duration nodes in the passive tree, one is up right the other alittle down left, those 2 along with less duration gem makes it alot faster, fast enought to even fire 1 off while continously casting if your at or above the now tiny hover time
This is my build right now, you can choose crit rate on a wand, or you can use the unique to double the volley of embers. You actually need to take the one reduced cast speed that's next to you also, and you want gear like this gloves that boost your spell damage by 100% but reduce your calf speed, this is because you want every hit of Amber fusillade to go through before you cast the next one, or you might literally cut your damage in half. You can start by taking the fire node next to the warrior, then you should pass all the way to the cooldown nodes. Anyway there's a ton of life regen, and recoup on the way to that 80% cool down, you can take to make yourself tankier, you can get the other 30% cool down, with the reduced duration gem.
5:44 it can be super fast if your a Warrior Titan, for added small passive node effectiveness and you take both clusters of passives that reduce skill duration. TH-camr ThatsRealNeato has a good build video designed around this.
Oh yeah I do that too but I forgot to mention it in the video! Thought it wasn't worth remaking it since it adds a relatively small damage percentage to the embers when compared to the very popular sparks fire wall build, but yes it's an important detail to know.
I like it a lot too, currently using it as my main skill on this new run. One thing I've been having a go at in the past two days is trying various "secondary skills" to use during the little time that we have between having cast the embers and the embers firing up. I tried a few and did most of act 2 with solar orb as the secondary skill, but now I think I've got a more efficient and fun answer with living bomb (0 mana skill on some fire staves). That's going to be tomorrow's video.

the lock in is tied to your light radius, or so I believe
also I tend to cast fire wall after my ember fusillade cast the embers are boosted when passing the walls

use evade to release the ember
Have you done one for plage burst support. I can't really figure out what it does and it gives me a skill thats always greyed out.
