I was at this game and I have been to a lot of big games in the Swamp but this game was one of the most intense atmospheres that I had ever seen. I've seen them all, Auburn, FSU, LSU, Bama, Tenn, but this one was different. Florida and Georgia in Gainesville, are you kidding me? Then add in the fact that Florida was coming off of that devastating loss to Auburn too!! Georgia was not prepared for this night at all and Georgia had a freaking team that had so much talent, but they were just snakebit. LOL, Will Muschamp was in this game if I remember, or he may have graduated the year before. The amount of future NFL talent that was on that field that night boggles the mind. Georgia had Terrell Davis, Andre Hastings, Robert Edwards, Eric Zier, Brice Hunter, etc. Florida, we had, Fred Taylor, Fred Weary, Larry Kennedy, Shayne Edge, Shea Showers, Ike Hilliard, Riedel Anthony, Darren Hambrick who was a complete stud, but he was crazy, Ellis Johnson, Kevin Carter, Reggie Green, Donnie Young, Jason Odom, whose son is at Florida right now. Jeff Mitchell, and so many others who all played a stint in the NFL. It was unbelievable to be there because this was a game that was a one time deal for us to play each other at home. The only time that I remember it ever being this loud was FSU in 97 or 98, or when we blocked that field goal against South Carolina.
