Your tree looks lovely. I'm in UK and I haven't seen picks available here apart from the one I bought and separated to give me six separate pieces to put in my tree. One of our stores had a good selection of candy Stripe themed decorations the second time I went there. I was thrilled and bought quite a lot. Although I bought some lollipops, I also made my own and several picks which I am really pleased with.
Thank you :-) i wanted some picks for my red and white tree and then my big pastle candy tree. I looked at them last year but they was way over priced and what i wanted noone sold here in Australia. I am now going to make my own :-) thanks i am going to go make my own
I've made a lot of decorations for my tree but I've never thought about making picks 😽 thanks for sharing Lisa very clever idea and yes it is very frustrating paying those sort of prices
LiveItLikeLisa & where I live they just don’t have much at all even if I could pay so I’m going to have a go at making them, I’m 56 and ordered my first brand new tree yesterday 😁 I’m a tad excited hehe 😂 iv either had a real 1 or someone’s cast offs so iv ordered an 8 foot tree 🌲 I hope it’s as nice as they make them sound, then I’m going to flock it, iv watched hundreds of ways how mostly the US vids where they can buy flocking powder, soap was another option but looks ultra messy when it’s taken down so I’m going to try gyprock powder with silver glitter ✨ I’ll test it on an old tree iv got here first lol 😂
You're very creative! I bet you could sell your creations of these Christmas decorations you made to craft shops or on line for the people where you live and not have to pay more every Christmas holiday. After Christmas (I live in Southern California), I buy a lot of Christmas decorations, wrapping paper, Christmas gift bags, when it's all on sale. I just keep my Christmas decorations in their packages and bags and put away to use for the next Christmas season, it'll be Winter for us, so it's extra special because we're all drinking hot cocoa and bundled up to go outside, we buy a fresh real Christmas tree and decorate it all and use our fireplace, and I bake cakes and cookies for my family.. You're tree looks so pretty! You have some great talent there! 😁💖
Thank you so much Jannette oh I do envy you having a winter Christmas nothing better than snuggling up over hot cocoa and sitting by the Christmas tree. Definitely want to have a white Christmas with the family one year. And yes I often keep my eye out for reduced Christmas decor but there is usually not much left in the shops, here in Australia they start taking down the Christmas stock and putting up back to school stock even before Christmas arrives, it’s crazy!
Your tree is lovely! I am sorry these things are not available like they are here in the US. But looks like you had fun making your own. They turned out wonderfully.
You are so creative Lisa! I have see a few people do trees like this, this year, and I love it! I might have to change my tree up next year P.S Your tree is stunning!!
Thanks so much Cherese ......I too love the messy and chaotic look or all the bits hanging out of the christmas tree and will definitely do a heap more for next year! hehehehe
Oh 100% .....it’s crazy when you see how cheap it all is in the USA. And we haven’t quite caught on with the farmhouse decor here either so most of this I have to make myself too
LiveItLikeLisa oh 😁 I think iv bought the same tree, it’s a jolly jingle or something similar with over 1000 tips, I do hope it’s the same your tree is really lovely 🥰🥰🥰
Funny i was watching a video today and never seen ornament spinners and picks never heard of them lol... But then again they have Michael's and hobby lobby pick things up cheap but the spinners u take out the bulb of ur light put the spinner in and ur pretty things hanging spin shame we don't have alot of that here or Halloween stuff
Love your ideas😊
Thank you! 😊

I’m in Australia too, iv been scouring youtube for weeks & im going to make my own also, thank you your tree looks stunning 🥰
Oh thanks so much lovely!!! So glad you enjoyed the video!! It’s so hard to find decent quality picks in Australia that don’t cost an arm and a leg

Thanks so much.......yes i guess on the plus side it forces you to be creative to make your own if you can't buy them hehehehe

This is exactly my issue. They are ridiculously expensive in Australia. It’s true for so many craft and decorating supplies.

I'm liking your video now 💖but will watch later 😜👍
HAHAHAHA I am totally fine with that! ;P
Where did you get the tree Lisa? It is lovely.
I actually bought it off eBay, its an 8ft tree and so thick and it was only about $120, I am so happy with it!
LiveItLikeLisa oh 😁 I think iv bought the same tree, it’s a jolly jingle or something similar with over 1000 tips, I do hope it’s the same your tree is really lovely 🥰🥰🥰

Oh yes I’ve seen those on other decorating videos, they look so great! (Sigh) there’s a lot of awesome stuff we just can’t get here
what are the red and white items?
The actual tree decorations are all from Kmart Australia
