He got them out of the ambush kill zone and disabled the robbers vehicle(s) so that they couldn't pursue further and hopped out showing force. Most people would have lost their composure just at the realization someone is really trying to kill you. Abramjee reported that the cruiser driver managed to take out two of the robbers’ vehicles. Both the driver and his crew survived the attack but unfortunately one person from another escort vehicle was fatally shot. The rogues went home empty handed.
@@user5061 No one died. In the article in the description it says the employees survived without injury, and the robbers ran away and didn’t get any money
Unfortunately in South Africa when you get in a Cash Transit van, it's mostly a question of when are you getting attacked today and not if you're getting attacked today
CIT trucks are very common targets in South Africa. A common practice for these criminals is disabling the vehicle or getting it stuck i.e ramming it and getting it boxed in. The guards inside the truck may feel safe from bullets and just wait for back up but the criminals will pour gas/petrol all over the van and demand they open it or get cooked alive... A friend's brother did this job and that exact same scenario happened. They knew they wouldn't survive even if they gave into the demands of the criminals especially since they're white. They decided to dismount and make a run for it while laying down fire. 2 of his buddies died and he was also shot several times but was rushed to hospital and survived.

That's all we have to do before we died
The driver is so badass, it's almost like he's come straight out from an action movie
@ After outmaneuvering the vehicle(s) by ramming into them and taking shots that could have impaired the car's ability to function properly. Armored trucks aren't invincible.
He got them out of the ambush kill zone and disabled the robbers vehicle(s) so that they couldn't pursue further and hopped out showing force. Most people would have lost their composure just at the realization someone is really trying to kill you.
EDIT: New dashcam footage shows the dude even dodged what looked like to be a potential roadblock w/ spikes for his tires, and almost ran over the suspects at the same time.
Conclusion: Don't fuck with special forces.
He got nearly straight out of the car

He's an ex police officer and used to train their elite task force, so he's very well trained. Currently he's a businessman who runs a shooting academy and he actually does the security van driving as a side gig.
Not many people realize he driving an escort vehicle. So after the initial contact, he wasn’t running away from the robbers, he was chasing them down and using his vehicle to ram theirs.
The company really needs to provide these guys with some radio comms
Agreed. They should have a PTToC solution.
My first thought watching this.
Abramjee reported that the cruiser driver managed to take out two of the robbers’ vehicles.
Both the driver and his crew survived the attack but unfortunately one person from another escort vehicle was fatally shot.
The rogues went home empty handed.

As soon as I saw those glasses, I knew those perps got no chance
Yeah lol why do all the best operators seem to have that profile?
The driver is always looking in his side mirror before the shot started that means he had a hunch and he is basically a real pro on this stuff..
Yep! His head was on a swivel, lol.
