It will take a few years for Ai productivity gains to punch up earnings but this does so at the expense of jobs or demand-pricing to consumers. Recession is not bad for everyone. It is very good for people who have a fixed income and low debt levels, and those with savings who dont own assets, as well as the medium to long term prospects of young people. Avoiding recessions longer and longer means pulling up the ladder for those who havent yet entered the market, like stopping a bushfire. All the shoots at the bottom cant get any sunlight while the forest gets cluttered with giant trees blocking the sunlight and weeds choking them.

Day trading is glorified gambling, you're almost always better off swing trading or passively investing. Practice paper trading if you really have the itch to gamble on the minute charts, and more likely than not you'll find out its harder than it looks to be successful.

The past 20 years has featured unprecedented financial management - fiscal manipulation. Free money - near-zero interest rates with massive injections of money into banks by the FED - that's NOT normal.
Not saying it wasn't justified, or wasn't a good thing. Seemed like a good idea at the time. And it isn't like corrective measures were being made on unmanipulated markets. The markets have been constantly manipulated for many decades. Especially by the Republican Party when in power. For instance, it was Nixon took the US off the gold standard.
