Both the Swan and Boar are the major highlights of this pack as far as im concerned. Quintessential "wildlife park" animals, especially over here in the UK, which when combined with the fox, badger, deer ect are a great "natural park " vibe. Cant wait for the modded water fowl however!
Yeah same. I would have taken out the Wild Boar and put the European Hare in, which also fits for this pack (And the last rodent we got was with the North American pack as well, so it was time for another rodent).
It isn't even out yet and it already rivals the Wetlands Pack for my favorite DLC, the only animals I don't overly care about are the Tortoise and Swans (sorry people, not everyone cares about birds)
The swan was unexpected but easily the best part of the pack for me. Frontier gave us a pack with 2 birds, and gave us 3 birds in one year. They have no excuse not to give me more birds now!
I can’t wait to see the little cygnets up close!! The swan is just so far beyond what I was expecting. I was hoping for a pheasant, but swan is even better!

Its sad to see Leaf ans seemingly no one else so excited about the Saiga as I am lol. This is not just some hoofstock! Saiga are easily the most unique ungulate alive today. They thrived in massive herds across the mammoth steppe for milleania where they still Live today. Critically endagered but making a comback in Kazakhstan, Mongolia and south central Siberia. They have wicked sharp eyes, a snout that effectively works like a tapir proboscus and are on of the fastest animals on land. Look them up, Love them. Top 3 animal since the start of the game, Im so excited
I feel like the main reason a lot of other people aren’t excited about the Saiga is because it basically cannot be kept in zoos. Most of the ones they attempted to keep in captivity ended up bashing themselves into fencing because they’re incredibly flighty thanks to those amazing eyes. I for one am excited to see them, but I understand the issue with them being in a zoo game
I was blown away that they are adding the Saiga! I watched a video about them just a couple of years ago and I didn't even know they existed and now they'll be in Planet zoo
While I was initially upset about the wisent when I first watched the trailer thinking it replaced the takin, I'm now super excited for them as not only did they not replace the takin, but they also look amazing!
I have actually never heard of a takin until recently and god they're the weirdest looking things lol. They look like goats and wildebeests at the same time. The saiga antelope look straight out of the Ice age(well, because they are)
I am so excited for the swan!! my jaw dropped!!! I hope this hints to the future for more birds. I have never gone to an IRL zoo that did not have BIRDS... I am just so ready to have more birds in game. Even if it was just like a little variety of parakeets ect in the walk through exhibit.
Been building a European section in my zoo for a while now, it had a implied exhibit for Waterfowl and Wisent (half finished) already. The next section I was planned to be starting next is a Himalayan section which would have had a implied Takin habitat. Can't believe my luck with the timing of this pack although I am now trying to work out if/where I can squeeze in the Wolverine and Wild Boar.
The wisent is super surprising to me! As is the wild boar. I really expected the Golden Takin. I'm super excited for this pack. I wish it did include the Pallas Cat though.
I’m actually one of the few people absolutely pumped for this pack! However I do agree that frontier seems to be allergic to smaller, flying birds as well as anything having to do with South American animals 😂 like they will literally give us another Asian bear species when we already have like four or five already! I think the sloth bear is the only animal I’m meh about honestly but otherwise I think every animal including the exhibit tortoise is incredible ❤
Now with the wildboar and the swan you can make a european wildife park or european fairy tales in zoos. Fox, wolf, badger, wildboar, red deer, fallow deer, swan, tortoise, salamander. Or an england park with swans, peacocks, red neckeed wallabies, and fallow deers. I still only missing, the rabbits and hares. But I love the pack. We both got northern central asia and europe. Also many of these species realted to conservaton. For wildboar its both good and bad (good like the rentroducion in the Uk, bad as feral hogs and introduced wild boars became invasive).The american wolverne not diff species but subspecies, but with european wolverine as base somebody can mod an american wolverine with diff colour and maybe size. So other then the birds I only miss rabbits and hares, but I still adore the choose. Hahaha! Saiga!! It means frontier doesn’t give a crap about ultra realistic zoos, leopard seal and shoebills still have a chance!! Two of the most unique and awesome animals alive today. As long as they don’t add dinos or unicorns I’m fine with realism, all real world animals will do realism people can just ignore the proboscis monkey and Saiga, the turtle and wisent are very meh boring,love the wolverine,takin, saiga and swan! I reckon the next pack will give us rainbow lorikeets in a exhibit similar to the bats. That’s the only way I can see it working unfortunately. Otherwise solid pack!
Was so excited on Monday leading up to the stream, only to be absolutely gutted. Thought to myself I will probably skip this one, but then the swan and the boar saved it. The rest are better than expected, love the Saiga, was rooting for those to go with Prezwalskis. Would have preferred a squirrel to the tortoise, but other than that it's pretty solid now
I’m kinda shocked that people aren’t exited for the saiga. Fore me I don’t care much about if something’s common in zoos so that might be why. I love seeing something so unique! I love how they have slightly transparent pink horns!
Plus the Saiga has a very fascinating story. The fact that it’s only in captivity in one zoo really says more to why is should be in the game than why it shouldn’t.

for me its the perfect timing for that pack. started the europe area in my current park literally yesterday. the swan was a really big surprise for me, frontier is slowly warming up to birds! i don´t mind the boar and wisent being similar looking to existing animals, i think its fun to have options from different continents. i hope the movements and hitbox of the takin is taking into account that they are good climbers, it would be kinda sad to have them stuck in the plains

I agree with you on the birds. Also, I am glad that they would be able to get the Sloth Bear and the Takin in the game. Now there are a few more Jungle Book based animals to appear someday; The Indian Leopard (Black Panther for melanistic fur), the Indian Python, the Indian Wolf, the Golden Jackal, the Rhesus Macaque, the Lion Tailed Macaque, the Northern Plains Gray Langur, the King Cobra, and the Red Junglefowl.
Takins are among my favorite animals, so I’m very very glad it made the game’s roster, even though it might just be another boring hoofstock species in the eyes of some. I think they round out the species list for a nice Himalayas- / China-themed exhibit. Similarly, I’m really excited about the Sloth Bear because I’ve been toying with the idea of an Indian exhibit for a while, and the Sloth Bear was the one animal that I thought would really bring the whole thing together. I’m among those who are still holding on to the “more birds” pipe dream, and I can see why some are disappointed by this pack, but I’m personally very excited! Also looking forward to incorporating the Swans into some nice entrance ponds or relaxation areas!
I guess that I would probably get a platinum medal for not just predicting that the DLC would be dedicated to Europe and mainland Asia but also correctly predicting 5 of the 8 animals in this pack. The animals that I managed to correctly predict are the European bison, saiga, takin, wild boar and wolverine.
i am super hyped for the swan, wisent, takin and wolverine, top tier picks imo. the wild boar and sloth bear are also pretty good. my local zoo has wisent, wild boar and wolverine, so this will get me much closer to recreating it. the saiga is a weird choice, but okay i guess? the tortoise being in the standard exhibit is pretty disappointing imo, any places that keep them that i know of have them in nice outdoor enclosures for the summer. I actually really like the inclusion of the saiga. Its a hard animal to do justice with mods since it has unique movements with its most defining feature, its nose. Similar to the unique features of the gerenuk antelope. I really hope they are still willing to do a highlands/alpine pack. We still need an Andean bear, markhor goat, a yak, a chamois, and maybe a woodchuck/groundhog, even a Pallas cat. I mainly just want the first three, especially the markhor. We need more of the animals that were in zoo tycoon 2. Also the musk ox and gerenuk. Its a literal crime they haven't made it into the game yet 😅
my favorites this pack sofar are: Takin, Saiga, Swan and Slothbear! the Wisent and boar are really cool and def some neded european additions, the wisent being a conservation story makes them expreemely worth being added. the wolverine was a very much anticipated animal and it looks stunning. while controversial im so happy we get Saiga! i hope they dont get to much hate, im just happy we get lesser known animals that deserve to be more well known.
Im very Exited for the Swan! i am also very happy that we getting Takin and Wiesent ! But surprising for me was the Boar very enjoyed the mod but its time to say Good bye to themXD
Well now that we got BOTH the takin and wisent, even though i still found the last one very boring looking, i don't really mind its inclusion anymore since i got the one i wanted as well. And i recognize the importance of the wisent for European wildlife and conservation. I still think the saiga, cool as it is, is a waste of a slot that could've gone to the blackbuck, but i guess the latter fit the winter theme better. Also the swan alone makes this pack 100% worth it. I have the slightless of hopes that the hermann's tortoise might be walkthrough, but i doubt it.
I am very much considering a new zoo with a focus on North American and European animals. This pack is perfect, the Wisent, the swan and the saiga are my three most anticipated animals. Wisents especially are so important in terms of being a massive win for conservation. I’m hoping the Saiga have inter species interaction with the Prezwalskis Horses.
I am exited for a few animals, especially the swan, but I keep wondering why frontier is ignoring our bird demands. They have put flying animals in the game already and they know they could earn a lot from adding a few more, so what's really the reason?
Really think frontier dropped the ball on this one. Looking at comments it seems like the community is most excited about the swan while the majority of the animals in this pack feel like runner ups from other packs.
And also iam existed for the saiga its an antilope which lives in cold and have a trunk like nose. Also in prehistorick times they walked with woolly mammoths and woolly rhinos during the ice age. Also they large nose to make the air warmer. Also in old times they had massives herds and peoples in some areas when the herds came shouted the saigas are coming the saigas are coming! Today this masssives herds are rare, they still live in large herds and they number raised but still nothing like in historical times and still endangered. The springbok have similar story.

I am for one most excited by the Saiga a unique animal that looks prehistoric. i do not care that its odd for a zoo game. it is a game, I grew up with zoo tycoon who took a step into resurrecting extinct animals. I play the game for fun, not realism. but I get the take it or leave it nature to it being in the game
honestly i did expect an eurasia pack the combination of animals from asia and europe made me think abt it and i did predict it! honestly im so happy abt this pack only thing i dont really im excited for is the tortoise, nothing that cool even if they r adorable, can’t wait to see the takin and the mute swan!
The biggest surprise for me was the saiga antelope. I straight up thought they would never include the saiga in the game due to how rare they are in captivity.
This will be my favorite animal pack. Was so glad this morning to find out it wasn't a scenery pack, and that we have a bridge between Asia and Europe. I saw Wisent at the Helsinki Zoo forever ago and it was the animal that I remember the most. As an American, didn't realize Europe had their own Bison. Excited for the 13th!
It's finally clicked for me. Of course they are working on planet zoo 2. I can't believe I didn't accept that before. Saving birds and fully aquatics for it. It's been four years, I don't know why I didn't recognize that until now. P.s the swan!!
I think the black, black necked swans will finally mods to get a proper rig :) I remember those, one of my first used mods and now they'll probably get a proper rig! This is a good pack!
The wolverine is found in both Asia and North America, Hermann's tortoise is found in Europe, and we are lacking a few turtle species. The concept of Eurasia is that Europe and Asia are one continent. It's all based on antiquity. Also, the Saiga antelope is found near Russia, so it gets cold, and their noses filter the cold air into warm air to keep them warm.

I'm so surprised by this pack. Is it a takin or "just" an european bison? Both! Oh, and by the way, here's a completely new type of bird! Looking forward to this one😁
I actually really like the inclusion of the saiga. Its a hard animal to do justice with mods since it has unique movements with its most defining feature, its nose. Similar to the unique features of the gerenuk antelope. I really hope they are still willing to do a highlands/alpine pack. We still need an Andean bear, markhor goat, a yak, a chamois, and maybe a woodchuck/groundhog, even a Pallas cat. I mainly just want the first three, especially the markhor. We need more of the animals that were in zoo tycoon 2. Also the musk ox and gerenuk. Its a literal crime they haven't made it into the game yet 😅
my favorites this pack sofar are: Takin, Saiga, Swan and Slothbear!
the Wisent and boar are really cool and def some neded european additions, the wisent being a conservation story makes them expreemely worth being added.
the wolverine was a very much anticipated animal and it looks stunning.
while controversial im so happy we get Saiga! i hope they dont get to much hate, im just happy we get lesser known animals that deserve to be more well known.
Im very Exited for the Swan! i am also very happy that we getting Takin and Wiesent !
But surprising for me was the Boar very enjoyed the mod but its time to say Good bye to themXD
Well now that we got BOTH the takin and wisent, even though i still found the last one very boring looking, i don't really mind its inclusion anymore since i got the one i wanted as well. And i recognize the importance of the wisent for European wildlife and conservation. I still think the saiga, cool as it is, is a waste of a slot that could've gone to the blackbuck, but i guess the latter fit the winter theme better.
Also the swan alone makes this pack 100% worth it.
I have the slightless of hopes that the hermann's tortoise might be walkthrough, but i doubt it.
I am very much considering a new zoo with a focus on North American and European animals. This pack is perfect, the Wisent, the swan and the saiga are my three most anticipated animals.
Wisents especially are so important in terms of being a massive win for conservation. I’m hoping the Saiga have inter species interaction with the Prezwalskis Horses.
I am exited for a few animals, especially the swan, but I keep wondering why frontier is ignoring our bird demands. They have put flying animals in the game already and they know they could earn a lot from adding a few more, so what's really the reason?
Really think frontier dropped the ball on this one. Looking at comments it seems like the community is most excited about the swan while the majority of the animals in this pack feel like runner ups from other packs.
I love all the DLCs but I have to say I am disappointed we don't get a Pallas Cat. I was SO excited with all the speculation about those!
And also iam existed for the saiga its an antilope which lives in cold and have a trunk like nose. Also in prehistorick times they walked with woolly mammoths and woolly rhinos during the ice age. Also they large nose to make the air warmer. Also in old times they had massives herds and peoples in some areas when the herds came shouted the saigas are coming the saigas are coming! Today this masssives herds are rare, they still live in large herds and they number raised but still nothing like in historical times and still endangered. The springbok have similar story.
I love the winset.They are just so much cooler than the American Bison and is the highlight of the pack in my opinion
Woot woot we got a waterfowl!! The pack choices might be strange but we needed another winter themed dlc for Xmas time. I'm excited to see the animations for the wolverine
I am for one most excited by the Saiga a unique animal that looks prehistoric. i do not care that its odd for a zoo game. it is a game, I grew up with zoo tycoon who took a step into resurrecting extinct animals. I play the game for fun, not realism. but I get the take it or leave it nature to it being in the game
Speaking of birds, it would be amazing if you, or any modder, made a burriwing owl! You could mod it off of a kiwi.

honestly i did expect an eurasia pack the combination of animals from asia and europe made me think abt it and i did predict it! honestly im so happy abt this pack only thing i dont really im excited for is the tortoise, nothing that cool even if they r adorable, can’t wait to see the takin and the mute swan!
The biggest surprise for me was the saiga antelope. I straight up thought they would never include the saiga in the game due to how rare they are in captivity.

This will be my favorite animal pack. Was so glad this morning to find out it wasn't a scenery pack, and that we have a bridge between Asia and Europe. I saw Wisent at the Helsinki Zoo forever ago and it was the animal that I remember the most. As an American, didn't realize Europe had their own Bison.

Another thing to note, wild boar can be found in North Africa so it cam be a good addition for people making African zoos

It's finally clicked for me. Of course they are working on planet zoo 2. I can't believe I didn't accept that before. Saving birds and fully aquatics for it. It's been four years, I don't know why I didn't recognize that until now. P.s the swan!!

For me, next to the Europa Pack, it's the best pack ever and my favorite animal pack. I'm so incredibly hyped
The wolverine is found in both Asia and North America, Hermann's tortoise is found in Europe, and we are lacking a few turtle species. The concept of Eurasia is that Europe and Asia are one continent. It's all based on antiquity. Also, the Saiga antelope is found near Russia, so it gets cold, and their noses filter the cold air into warm air to keep them warm.
