Hello all!
The first part of my Kimi no Na wa. medley is out! I'm sorry for the delay, I felt the need to re-record -- and also had way too much fun animating the introduction scene... We don't talk about that part, though. In any case, it's uploaded, and I hope you all enjoy it :)
Arranging this was definitely a change of pace for me. It was challenging to arrange in a way that was completely different than ever before, and there are two reasons why:
1. The songs I arranged in this medley are background tracks. This means that they're usually repetitive if played fully (and I'm in no way saying that's a bad thing. It's just that in this situation it's not preferred). And so, I had to carefully compress the songs without them totally losing their touch, which is something I've rarely had to do.
2. This is the first medley I've ever arranged! YAY! Well, it's only two songs meshed together, but it's still a medley! It was interesting to mess around and figure out how many climaxes I want, if I wanted any changes in pace, tone, etc. For this particular medley, I kept it simple and made the two songs have a very similar atmosphere. The use of the loop pedal at the end I felt was necessary in order to make the medley feel complete; without it, there would be no climax.
I decided it would be perfect to keep these songs as they are: background tracks. Of course, it still sounds like a complete medley, but in my mind, it still doesn't tell the full story. That's where part two comes in! I'll be arranging two RADWIMPS songs (Nandemonaiya and Sparkle.. Maybe Zen Zen Zense) and will make the medley more upbeat to parallel the movie's more joyful side. I hope you'll be looking forward to it!
For my next upload: I'm not sure if I'll be taking a break from Kimi no Na wa. to complete Koe na Katachi's main theme song yet. Both of the arrangements are more than half way done. Tell me your thoughts below if you have one that you want to hear more.

I can’t decide if this music makes me feel happy and at peace or borederline heartbroken. Seriously, of all the great things about this movie,, it’s the music that keeps me coming back time and time again.
After watching Shinkai's film, I felt the need to arrange all of the songs contained in it. *_* Can't wait to buy it on Blu-ray. There'll be more of this to come, definitely.

Diony$usZ Kataware doki means that the time of sunset or during twilight. This is a local dialect Hida. Kataware means fragment; a part of a group or a whole being. Doki seems like a slang like " dokidoki" which refers to heartbeat. Yume means dream, and Tourou seems like it's referring to a name.
Kataware doki is instrumental only (piano and some strings? Not sure exactly what) and slower than Yume Tourou, which has vocals and... electric guitar?

I know I am very late watching this movie, it came out years ago and it’s my first time watching it in 2020 and must I say it is a masterpiece, I absolutely loved the movie. I play guitar myself and I was looking for a cover for Mitsuha’s theme so I could play it myself and I found myself here so I really appreciate you for putting this out there for everyone to listen to and learn, it means a lot.
Thank you for this. This film means more than the world to me and I've always thought that it would be great if someone arranged the background theme. This is beautiful beyond words. Very well produced as well.

The soundtrack of this movie gives me chills everytime I watched and listened to it. The overall sound design and visuals were also just stunning. Ive been looking for guitartabs for it ever since so i really really hope you release them soon, I love all your other tabs so I'm sure this one will be great!

I know I'm late to this video but it is still very moving and somehow inspirational. It's beautiful. That anime is the most Beautiful thing that I have ever seen in my life. Artwork, the storyline, the music, it's not something that should be shown in the cinema. They all belong in the museum.
I don't believe in a perfect movie, its impossible to please everyone completely, I know this movie has flaws...and yet that doesn't affect my enjoyment of this film. For me...this film was great....no it was Perfect

This movie is often compared with Koi no Katachi, but honestly, they’re both amazing, they both deserve every compliment, every tear, they’re both masterpieces in their own right, one is a story about defying space and time for love, and another is about completing the journey for love, as both contain the message of love, they’re different in their own right as amazing films, and both will remain my favorites until the end of time. They both shook me, they both had me crying, both had me up 2 AM in the morning thinking about them, they both resonate with me, and they forever will. Thank you, Tam Lu, we’re waiting for you. We’re waiting until the end of time.
