If anyone is curious this genre of music is called ＶＡＰＯＲＷＡＶＥ this was a sub culture or aesthetic of Millennials and Zillennials in the mid 2010s. (Zillennials are born 1997-2002) This sub culture or aesthetic mixed 90s/80s with new age culture. I like to think it was another sub of Cyberpunk. The music usually sounds space-y, floaty, and nostalgic.Zillennials and Millennials are doomers so most of vaporwave has a dystopian futuristic sound. The clothing however were a mix of 80s-90s and mid 2010 clothings. Mostly consiging of graphic shirts with Japanese culture, Glitchy art, Old greek statues, mid 2000s to mid 2010s computer effects such as “You got mail” or the notorious helping paper clip and lots of memes on shirts with wach futuristic synthwave patterns. Stranger things was huge because of this era and many more. Surreal memes were huge and surreal games/art were also huge. Little Dark Age, Heatwaves (although new), Memory Reboot (also new) are all vaporwave. My suspicion is that perfect girl although a goth song was also a vaporwave song given its dark 80/s tone. I agree that resonance is vaporwave but with stranger things and memory reboot I'd argue that's synthwave. Vaporwave is psychedelic and "experimental" which is why it sounds so floaty whereas synthwave specifically tries to invoke 80s nostalgia with how it's composed. Though with that said they can have a mixture of both types of composition and sit in a middleground. Defining genres is really touchy and hard to do so I'm not saying you're wrong but rather inaccurate in some details. open to discussion though Edit: spelling

I agree that resonance is vaporwave but with stranger things and memory reboot I'd argue that's synthwave. Vaporwave is psychedelic and "experimental" which is why it sounds so floaty whereas synthwave specifically tries to invoke 80s nostalgia with how it's composed. Though with that said they can have a mixture of both types of composition and sit in a middleground. Defining genres is really touchy and hard to do so I'm not saying you're wrong but rather inaccurate in some details. open to discussion though
