I have a daughter who stays in Montrose and one who stays in Brechin. I stayed in Brechin for three years and was often in Montrose. It's a lovely place.

Am going to Montrose for 1st time on Monday in 4 days hope I enjoy it I will visit football stadium as I have in many city’s in Scotland

This really brought back pleasant memories . I spent almost a year working on the new Glaxo GPP plant so toured the eastern side of Scotland and the coast line and got to know the Arbroath smokies , mmmm , Great video

There's also the town museum and the air museum and many other interesting places to see. I used to visit Montrose fairly often in the late 1990's and was last there in Autumn 2019, before the pandemic..... a lot of change to the roads and a new grocery superstore. Montrose is reputed to have the widest High Street in mainland Great Britain
I'm going to visit Montrose on the 19th of May. Only because of Steve Marsh made it "Famous" :-) (And because I'll be visiting a friend in Dundee the day before.)
I hope to find some kind of souvenier? Like a fridge magnet?

We came from Dundee via Balmoral Castle and in the end we did spend so much time in the Montrose "Air Station Heritage Center" watching all those exhibits, we didn't really had a lot of time for the city or even to purchase a magnet :-) The same day we had the "Holy Island" (Lindisfarne) and the "Spanish City" (Whitley Bay) on our list. (And we made it...) But we saw the beach road (Traill Dr.), the golf course, some monuments and of course I got a foto with "Bamse".

O yes , a few years after I worked on a project at Dounreay and stayed in Thurso , again a lot of fond memories . In fact I toured the area and visited John o'Groats

Lovely film. Sad though at the amount of closed down shops and the amount of charity shops. I live in Hampshire England and it is a total shit hole here with a million immigrants half of which the Government don't even know about. Give me Montrose in Scotland any day !!
