Enjoyed that Ami, I know how you feel about a scent being "out dated" I think it's not so much in relation to anyone else but linked to your own memories. I feel this way about Issey Miyake (the original ladies version) a friend has worn it recently and to me it feels so old fashioned but it's because it's so specifically linked to old memories of when we were younger and I'm sure most people wouldn't see it that way at all.

Amy I have watched you for years and I finally see you have l instant de Guerlain. With your huge collection if you can crave a Parfum it means it is definitely a winner in your collection. L instant to me is all year around and my God complétements I get when I wear it. Sadly one of the most underrated Parfum while it is a most in my opinion for Parfum collectors. You are definitely one hell of a collector. Thanks so much for sharing your must worn Parfum so happy l instant de guerlain is in the list.

Not a fan of CM also, or Chance. Love Vintage Samsara. I also am not a person who really feels the "wow factor" when applying Byredo Fragrance, I find them a bit boring and linear. Love Chanel no 19 Poudre- mmm that Iris! ;)
Apparently the newer Prada Candy is the issue. I need to look for an older bottle when I buy another one! Have you tried the Coco Mademoiselle EDT? I heard the patchouli is softer, I might try it myself 🙂

I'm a fragrance collector myself and, yeah, Coco Mademoiselle is okay. My bottle is from 2001. I collect women's fragrances too mainly because I like the story they tell. I call my collection my Library, because every fragrance in it tells a story. This one's vstory to me is a sad one. One of a girl who feels the need to fit in, she dresses in ways she doesn't like, she spends unnecessary money on personal extravagances, but is ultimately lonely. I perfer "The One for her" by Dolce and Gabbana. It tells a story of a classy, sophisticated woman. I always pictured her in a fancy ballroom party in the 1960's but It could just as easily be in 2020. It's a timeless fragrance.
I love how each tell a story to you. I never thought of it like that before, how fascinating! I see Coco Mademoiselle exactly the way you have described it! And I also see The One the same way! Such an artistic approach of viewing your collection 😍

Love this idea ,I have a few that’s well used up ,I actually gave my Mariah Carey one to my daughter, OMG I am the same way about my coco Mademoiselle because of the patchouli and I did a comparison video on that one and Sofia by Sofia Vergara . I am actually becoming very sensitive to patchouli. My sister loves J’Adore but I’m not a fan either.i go through stages where I crave a fragrance and then I seem to get my fill of it LOL hugs Frances 💞✨💞✨

Yes, absolutely buy the old Samsara in the beautiful bottle. I loved that scent since it came out. It lasted forever on me. Bought a new bottle a few months ago - what a disappointment. They changed the formula considerably. Does not last at all. So sad.
I never liked Coco Mademoiselle and I'm over Chance now. I'm exactly like you with L'instant, sometimes I crave it and then I'm not too keen! great video, as usual! 👍💖
I enjoyed watching the video. I do love Chanel and Coco Mademoiselle 🙂but I also enjoy patchouli...even the earthy patchouli oils, so it doesn't bother me. I tend to like ultra feminine fragrances but I am moody too, and my fragrance moods are moody🥴 Thanks again for sharing🌻
I wore jadore over 15 years ago and once it was done I moved on to other scents never thinking much about them...when I started seeing it on videos I went to sniff it again and really enjoyed it. I guess we need a long break from scents that remind us of specific times. Same with samsara...I found one of those older versions in a box of old bathroom stuff from moving years ago lol it smells great but is definitely dated to me. I still love it. I wasn't as into byredo as i expected to be based on reviews. Mojave ghost is nice but reminds me of something I can't quite figure out. I do enjoy tulipe...but that's about it.

Thank goodness - someone who does not like Coco Mademoiselle. I don’t like patchouli at all in perfumes as it gives me a raging headache 😒. I am not a fan of most Byredo perfumes but I love Rose of No Man’s Land. Samsara has so many memories for me as my late Mother used to wear it. Unlike me, she only had two bottles of perfumes, Samsara for night and Paris by YSL for day 😊
It seems like theres a few of us that don't like Coco Mademoiselle! I do enjoy patchouli but not mixed with chemical sweetness, I prefer it being natural. My mother-in-laws signature is YSL Paris 🌷

I think I said this once before in another video, but it's amazing how much our taste in perfumes is alike. Coco m. and Chance I do not like, I love Mariah's M and I've seen other fragrances where we share the same thoughts of.

I recently tried it and I really enjoyed it. I have Rouge Smoking, Tubereuse Imperiale and Wood Jasmine. I also really liked Oud Abramad which I will buy that one soon too. Gris Charnel is really beautiful, I think I like it most x

I have never liked Chance or CM. I do like No. 19 EDP but have only had decants. I also own Samsara in the vintage clear coffin bottle. The sandalwood is so gorgeous and buttery. I almost never get through my bottles although my collection is modest by comparison. I think the last scent I finished was a 30 ml bottle of Eau de Rochas which I did repurchase. I really enjoyed your video.
Coco mademoiselle had such a sour , bitter, acrid note to me. I also smell that same note in Chance and Coco Noir and I just cannot deal with it. I guess it's patch?, which I love in other frags, but how Chanel does it in these three is a huge no for me.
I also love Pure Poison Elixir! I went through about 5 or 6 bottles before it was discontinued 😭 And I also don't like the Coco Mademoiselle because of the patchouli even though everyone raves about it. Thanks I enjoyed this video

Hi! Yes, the Lupin & Patchouli smells like a men's version of Coco Mademoiselle. I prefer it much better because it doesn't have that same sweetness, I find that this chemical sweetness mixed with patchouli doesn't sit right on my skin.

I’m returning Coco M . Too much patchouli. I thought I loved it when the breeze brought it to my nose just out of the store but I never liked it again. I wish I could return Ellie Saab le Parfum. Too much amber in that one. I love love Delina and Delina Exclusif.
We can't return perfume here! I used to have Le Parfum but gave it away, I recently got it for my birthday as a gift ☺️ I will keep it as it was a gift 💜 I also got Delina and Delina Exclusif as gifts too, both are still sealed I haven't opened them yet!

Would be interested to know whether the bottle design change with M are associated with a reformulation or are a different fragrance. I've seen some bottles that are all purple and others with a clear bit.
Same with me ami. I never liked coco mademoiselle, i had the OG & intense version , tried hard to liking them but ended up selling both. But i do like chance eau tendre.

Mariah Carey M is fabulous indeed! I just discovered it this year and can't believe how well done it is at such a great price point.
I don't touch byredo because so expensive, 300 a bottle or more

One of my favorites designer perfumes is Prada candy ,it last on me 8+ hours,and i have the same problem with the patchuli in Coco mademoiselle

I do not like the patchouli in Coco Mademoiselle edp and Chance edp either. I will use Coco Mademoiselle edt, occasionally, in the summer.

I’m also not a fan of Chanel Chance or Coco Mademoiselle, and all the flankers of Chance are way too “common” but people usually adore them!
My Prada Candy also lasts, which I bought when it came out and I’m afraid it’s the newer releases that don’t last anymore..
Ah I see, it makes sense now why some complain about the longevity!

I have the Samsara in the clear coffin bottle too, it's glorious! One of the best sandalwood fragrances out there.
Coco mademoiselle had such a sour , bitter, acrid note to me. I also smell that same note in Chance and Coco Noir and I just cannot deal with it. I guess it's patch?, which I love in other frags, but how Chanel does it in these three is a huge no for me.
Yes, exactly my thoughts too! Coco Noir is another one I have never worn because of this sour patch note!
I also love Pure Poison Elixir! I went through about 5 or 6 bottles before it was discontinued 😭

Hi! Yes, the Lupin & Patchouli smells like a men's version of Coco Mademoiselle. I prefer it much better because it doesn't have that same sweetness, I find that this chemical sweetness mixed with patchouli doesn't sit right on my skin.

I’m returning Coco M . Too much patchouli. I thought I loved it when the breeze brought it to my nose just out of the store but I never liked it again.

We can't return perfume here! I used to have Le Parfum but gave it away, I recently got it for my birthday as a gift ☺️ I will keep it as it was a gift 💜

Would be interested to know whether the bottle design change with M are associated with a reformulation or are a different fragrance. I've seen some bottles that are all purple and others with a clear bit.
