seeing Mega Man used to great effect in fighting games warms my heart every time. i don't know a single one he appears in where he's considered all that good, but i main him in Smash and the rare occasion that i play MVC because he's my favorite lil guy

Never really got into MvC2 because all the stages felt very generic. The OST isn't that bad but it sounds like it's from an entirely different genre

@@mystery8820 Both supers got a *massive* nerf in startup. You see how Mega Man can start shooting and moving around pretty much instantly after the super flash? Yeah, in Marvel 2 it takes about half a second for him to transform and do anything.
That's one thing I noticed about MvC2 that annoys me. So many characters from the first game, if not all, were totally nerfed and are complete garbage. Its like no wonder there's only a handful of characters that are god tier in MVC2 when you nerf the entire roster of the previous game

Ps: Mr Wong, that is LMX, one of the top players in Canada Fightcade for XMVSF, MSHVSF and MVC.

Justin got Mega Mixed.
As a 11 year old who had trouble with fireball motion consistency, Megaman was a godsend for the instant fireball!
Also, if you start charging his Megabuster and can hold it for 30 seconds without losing the charge, it can connect with 30+ hits to really shame your opponent. Can't say that I ever connected with a real player on that though haha, only CPU.

MvC 1 was my first arcade experience. We used to have a cabinet at the local movie theater so i used to go play through the arcade run while waiting for the movies. I basically only played morrigan/ megaman and had a blast!

Love the gameplay from MVC 2 better but my god MVC 1 just holds a special place in my heart. The music, animation, & memories of playing it at the arcade in the 90s. Absolutely priceless. That said, Mega Man & Spider-Man was always my go to when playing MVC 1.😊

Megaman is veratile, but that can make him seem suboptimal because he kind of seems all over the place. But clearly, he is very effective.

That Mega Man is some of the craziest s#!+ I have seen in years in MvC 1. I spent a lot of time in the arcades. And I have seen a lot. All the way to the 80 hit combos in Killer Instinct to the crazy corner combos in MK2. Even the Chun Li infinite air combo in MvC 1.

Fightcade have better accesibility over the collection, and the majority dont pay the full price of the Collection.
And sadly, the general majority of the collection gravitates towards Marvel 2 I've noticed, despite the top leaderboards also being top players from Fightcade.

Entire MVC1 cast was nerfed going into mvc2 this was purposely done, Strider can't even fully ground combo in 2, Spidys overhead web throw was removed and his c.lp doesn't hit low anymore, Mega's beatplan n drill rush start was nerfed too it's dumb what they did
I played megaman, spidey and ironman, venom, or hulk cause I was a kid and was a huge marvel fan obviously didn't know anything about tier. I didn't even know street fighter cause I only played tekken, smash, some mk, and a bit of k.i.

Mega Man is good in MVC1. The reason why people don't use him that much is because he's hard to control. Charge Busters, different weapons and such
