My tenors from back in the 80s even sound better. Tune your drums use sticks that are not chipped. You definitely will have a much better sounding drum
I feel like the nylon (puck) sticks are a bit more articulate, while the wood sticks get a more full (vibrating) tone. Slight difference but not much. A non drummer in the stands can't tell the difference lol.
They would leave dents if the heads are not tuned and cranked. Very important to tune your drums especially if your showing a video about stick comparisons.
tune ur drums
I have now my school wanted to wait till we got new heads to tune them
@@lbrowning4483 idk why that mattered lmao
@@gavin_bigred it’s be a waste of time to tune them before getting the new heads on
From what I know tuning does not take but 10 minutes or less
@@bigyeet8252 it a pain in the butt to tune drums
It would be a better comparison if you used stick that were in better shape,
These drums look like they were setup in almost a straight line
Pearl has the 8,10,12,13 drums set up so the zones match the 10,12,13,14 drums
@@lbrowning4483 oh, thanks
@@wafersss I’m honestly not a fan of the bigger drums I prefer yamahas 6,8,10,13,13 that’s what I learned on
thats how ur zones are supposed to be technically
@@lbrowning4483 I March these same drums and my drums don’t look like that that lmao
What's the point of rating the quality of sticks when one pair is broken? Won't even resonate properly when there's a huge chunk missing.
Yeah, brand new nylon vs busted old wood is hard to really rate.

seen vegas?
I hear more attack from the wood and more fundamental from the nylon. I'm not saying I'm right, it's just what I hear.
That Spock sounds way to good for the rest of them
All 5 drums have to be cranked higher, your drum 1 should be your drum 4 lol
those zones...
Looks like it got deleted
@@hollowwallsendmiseryforest8709 yep
Tuning makes it all sound bad
Holy metric modulation Batman
I personally prefer the nylon
That would be the Sean Vegas
What are the name of the wood tip drumsticks
Cant hear any difference

Not the seen Vegas 😮
You gotta tune those drums and get a stick back (choose Vic firth obviously)
Crank those head up. They'll sound better and you'll get more rebound.
You have a little bit of a French grip
I really liked the nylons back in highschool. Long term it seems they can leave narly dents in the drum heads

Wood tips feel better and look better in my opinion
Same
Ow I’m rocking the rennicks
I like nylons because they are way easier to sweep on
Not that much of a difference surprisingly
t tenor sticks
Are those Sean Vega sticks actually as heavy as some people make them out to be? I hear that they are
Yes but they are balance well a lot of the weight is in the butt
I mean….
-terrible form
-untuned drums
-beaten sticks
Yeah this seems fair
Just playing what my school supplied me man
@@lbrowning4483 yeah I felt that. But just keep practicing homie. The doing this can take you far
What kind of sticks are thiset
Salyers
What are the heads?
Remo pinstripe
The wood tip sound brighter
Those sticks were significantly lighter
@@lbrowning4483 yea
