The posthumous life of the Neo has been so strange. (Not complaining) I used to run a forum on it (long ago) and never expected the homebrew era to continue like this.
According to the Shinobi wiki, the boss of stage 3 Mandara is a human brain inside a supercomputer that looks like a giant robotic face. Revenge of Shinobi also had a brain in a jar boss in Stage 3.
I remember the older kids at the corner store going all out against Mandara and me thinking it was the coolest thing ever. This game is immortal, if not a high rate quarter snatcher.
I'm dazed and confused. How is this Neo Geo, when it's clearly using Sega System 16? Is this a Mod and if so, why would the description indicate that's on Neo Geo? I'm perplexed, can anyone help me understand what's going on?
