This electronic composition and choreography has been inspired by the murder of singer-songwriter Selena Quintanilla who was only 23 years old when she died on March 31, 1995. From opening gun shot, until her death moments later. The sound of coins falling into an old cash box, operating noises from a 1980's manual cash register, small and large clock ticks and chimes, to an EKG beep used during the middle section and processed through an oscillator to create the weaving montuno and tumbao middle section, and further inspiration from Tejano and Ranchero music, have all been used.
