After watching the video advert i was still skeptical. But when i finally downloaded the plans th-cam.com/users/postUgkxZF0EMnrujZvqHhGkxiz559uIABJWR9TG i was very impressed. The whole plan was just as you said in the video. Thank you very much. I now have a large and valuable collection for my woodworks. This is great!
Can't go wrong with oak and leather. That's a good looking chair. One of the things I enjoy about your videos is watching you adjust your methods and processes as you go. Constantly looking to improve efficiency and effectiveness, and learning what works and what doesn't. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful Jimmy, as usual, I would have thought you needed support under the seat, but when you pull leather as tight as you did, I guess not, love your videos.
""I love the smell of freshly hand sewed wood in the morning ... It smells like I hadn't electric band saws, circular saws, automated saws of any sort." 🙂
Wow that's very beautiful. Hopefully you enjoy it for many years to come my friend. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend Jimmy. Forge On. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
Вначале, мне захотелось попилить руками))) Я забыл что у меня есть в мастерской инструмент. Потом вспомнил, потом опять забыл. В итоге изобрел стул ))) Здорово)))
Just absolutely fantastic!! I grew up around tannery, leather etc...in the leather city of León, Guanajuato México. And of course with our great wood expertise workers in the great central San Joaquin Valley. by the foothills of the great Sequoias in California! Great video!!
I love watching Jimmy's videos with the idea that the sped up parts, are really actual speed and Jimmy is just the flash of making :D and then the normal speed shots are what would be slow mo :D
I always love your videos and style but I have to say that this one really makes me want to build a chair. You make it look so easy (I know it’s not!) Thank you for sharing your brilliant work.
Great build Jimmy! I especially liked how you clamped them left and right sides together while they dries so they would mirror each other and the way you made the leather templates. Two more items for my mental tool bag!
Fabulous classic lines, a symphony in oak leather & steel as though destined to be part of a set for a Game of Thrones banquet. Looked like you had lost some weight too. I have shed over 30 lbs & feel much better. Thanks for sharing!
Jimmy owns every tool under the sun except....a tenoning jig. It's nice to see he makes tenons like us average Joes! ;)~ Very nicely done! Hey Rockler...send this guy a tenoning jig. Send me one too..lol!
Hey man I am a big fan I just wanted to say thanks for what you do you! You changed my life and now I make extra money for my family woodworking and you were a big inspiration thanks
You are an amazing craftsman and artist. From a slab of lumber to the finished seat, an incredible journey. Thanks for sharing this insightful video. Wishing you and your family a blessed week and a gentle spring season. Peace Jimmy
Does anyone else, every single time he does slow motion, get the feeling like we are about to watch something go horribly wrong? 🤣 Not a sleight against Jimmy, I think he is the King. I think I just watch to many slow mo videos of stuff blowing up
Nice chair, Jimmy. One can get so many great woodworking tips from watching you. I really liked the way you made the tenons. Much safer than trying to cut them in one shot with the piece standing upright on the tablesaw. Thanks for the video! -mike
Fun idea: I wonder how the tenon joint would look if the tenon still had the curvature of the blade? Using this tenon technique of course. The mortise would bring some interesting chiseling challenges. 🤨
please, please do more furniture videos like this!!!!!!!
I totally agree!!!!!! Amazing video and craftsmanship

Milling with a table saw? Now there's one I've never seen.
