Its a contrast to Abhishek's arrival himself and shows how much ABhishek has grown in the village vs someone who has just arrived. This episode moves story forward and also demonstrates Abhishek's growth in the village which is necessary for the next episode
In season 2 ofcourse abhishek was shown used to village now but, its after this episode I found that he has evolved and kind of accepted the village in his heart that is why he know so much about village, but he doesnt realize it. while his friend was getting bored he was chill cutting his nails that scene made me realize most about him evolving
His friend coming to the village is also a reminder for Abhishek and for us that the village is not a place where Abhishek should be spending these critical years of his life leaving all aspirations of modern world behind. Inspite of having all the fun and lovely bonds with people there, he has to work his way out of there.
The snake incident used ro happen all the time in my house a few years ago. Cobra always used to pop up out of nowhere and my father everyone in the family used to take care of it everytime.

It's not caste it's gotra and surname it's more like a community like Gupta's, moryas etc 🙆 . And it's normal in villages they ask your grandfather name and father name and then your gotra like surnames because no one knows you they know you're father and grandfather
