My style is identify, decide, fall in that rut anyway. We can't all be perfect. Some good tips again from you guys. I need to practice getting out of the saddle when the going gets tough. I do use the clutch technique though to get through obstacles when I don't fall off.
+Spirit The tips are one thing, having someone like Chris actually look at your style and watch how you are going and add constructive feedback through out the day really does lift your riding capacity.
+Motorcycle Adventure Dirtbike TV Yes that would be absolutely inspiring. I am afraid that wouldn't happen to me, I will have to implement the knowledge of vids like this. And keep on trying :-)
+Motorcycle Adventure Dirtbike TV Are you guys based in NZ? Trying to work out how far I'm willing to travel to have what sounds like a fantastic training oppo.
Chris I had my suspension set extra stiff while maxing out at 950 pounds with my wife and gear in central America. I'm in the States now with less weight on the bike. What suspension settings should I use off road? Thanks
I have filmed Chris many times, he regularly uses the back brake to alter the angle of the bike, both in flight and or on the ground. If you go through the video I have take of him, you will see many examples of this.

I wish there could be more riding tip video's like this. Thanks MADtv and Chris Birch

Great rider great to watch.
Identify , decide and crash ...that's what happens with me ...but great tips ...
cant wait for an off road comparison of the Adv R with the Africa Twin DCT ..
+kloppskalli Africa Twin, test coming!
Love his jacket tho
He handles that thing like I would a vespa :)
+Z Shark ok
That is a huge bike
not many people can ride a big bike like Chris can, damn it....

Judging on what you have stated I would suggest settings that would be less stiff
mad! are part of a adv club. can i join you guys on trips?
#BigTrail 😍😍😍
chris, do you have your 1190 geared lower than the stock or are you running stock gears?
Nope, stock gears
What jacket is Chris wearing in this video?
Some kind of KTM jacket.
Chuck, everyone rode it.
At 0:13 and 0:29, what causes the back wheel to stop spinning?
rear brakes, of course....
So you're saying that he's deliberately braking in mid air? I was thinking it's probably the traction control or something.

J. Braking in air is pivotal to riding motocross bikes and races. That technique directly translates to this type of riding.
Air braking is awesome. You can do the longest skids and it doesnt wear the tyre knobs off or create any dust that I have seen.
He must hate his job, dealing with muppets all day. I'd be happy to pay just to watch him ride!
