I highly recommend checking out New World! I believe they made it for the finale of Road to Kingdom, but it's still probably one of my favorite K-pop songs of all time. Beautiful Beautiful is just slightly below it in my ranking hahaha.

I have so much to say about so much but I’ll stick to two things that you might not know: 1. Beautiful Beautiful: They hired a cgi people who did Avengers infinity wars to do the graphics for the MV 2. For Ugly Dancing: the MV was filmed by a robot arm (like 95% and then just some small edits by a person) they basically danced without stopping once they started each time and so they filed for like 16 hours straight and only stopped when their legs gave out quite literally. My love for ONF started with We Must Love. They are my ULT group alongside Girls Generation. They just never fail to make something I like.
ONF sing Beautiful Beautiful's a capella part live too!! I recommend their "It's Live" performance or the one they did on SBS Radio if you want to witness it sdkfhg (the live vocals are much more raw for the SBS Radio one, but soooo so good I highly recommend)
OK SO. Let me just say. I came to ONF fandom with an ult group of Red Velvet. If you think about it - ONF was always going to be in my ult groups hahahaha It was meant to be. It was like coming home. I'm used to accepting MVs where I have no idea what is happening and dark stuff is happening but the song is still bopping along hahahaha Singing with questionably blank faces, what else is new. I'm wondering how you feel about seeing who Etion and Yuto are in all the songs you already like and know? haha This is how I feel when I go back and rewatch things that I watched before i knew everyone, it's so fun. OR on the other hand when I got to know WayV and Xiaojun was instantly biased and then I realized all the parts he had in NCT U songs I already had in the playlist. Oops. But yeah key changes are so cool, they set it up a bit in the chord changes leading up with his note yes - but it's still cool because we just land in the new key after that space behind his high note and it feels very natural. Sukhumvit Swimming remains one of my favorites so far, oh also! I wanted to say I'm pretty sure that's a soprano sax in that song but I could be wrong. And you're also so right - they did have a winner with Beautiful Beautiful - that was their first music show win and then they just got their 2nd with Bye My Monster. I will say - I saw a concert video of Ugly Dance before I actually got to know the song and I was like idk what this is but the crowd is HYPE - just imagine an entire crowd of ONE AND TWO AND THREE AND

About onf and death, yes, it's a recurring theme. It's been there since on/off teaser where the first death was with their former member. Apparently, they put the death thematics back in sukswim and popping.
LOOVEEEEIT!! Did you notice that the oufits on the theater of Popping is the same "characters" that showing on Sukhumvit Swimming'? Also Did you notice that on the same mv in the screen they're watching the others past mvs? That for me is...CHEF KISS
"Beautiful Beautiful" really is one of the best songs ever made by a kpop group! Their discography is one of my favorites from all the groups I've heard in my 16 years listening to kpop. I did a deep dive of their entire discography last year and was NOT disappointed.
That acapella part of Beautiful Beautiful is what finally made me stan them. And I love the cohesiveness of their whole discography. Thanks, Monotree. I also think that their extremely unique vocals also contribute to their signature sound. (My ult of Ults is SHINee and ONF is next. So the unique voices providing a signature sound is totally a thing for me!)
if you like accapella i heavily recommend you to check mamamoo’s music theyre the queens of harmonies and have a whole version of their song um oh ah yeah completely in accapella 🙏🏻

🛑ONF MVS THEORIES/STORYLINE 🛑 from the beginning onf is a normal children in high school, each of them has his own dream (astronaut, pirate, the little prince, etc.)- One day, a strange meteorite hit the Earth. their school and the whole planet was destroyed. and somehow there was a time machine in which the member Lawn disappeared forever, as the members tried to save him in “We Must Love” and failed and while searching for him they got stuck in that machine and began traveling to different worlds (destroyed worlds, futuristic world with robots, etc.)- but we later see that in these worlds they’re another version of the members (android? Evil?) these versions are trying to get rid of the original members | obviously all of onf are school friends but 1)HYOJIN/J-US 2)ETION/YUTO 3)MK/WYATT are besties | for the bad version sadly the friendships was broken for some reason bad hyojin wants to kill j-us yuto wants to kill etion too I'm not sure but it seems that Yuto keep stealing while Hyojin has a evil robot minions? evil mk is the controller of the Time Machine while Wyatt is a time traveler who was imprisoned by evil Hyojin? Sadly Evil Hyojin Succeeded in killing all of good onf in Popping mv and Good J-us failed in saving all of his friends that’s why in the end he watches the camera that have all of their school days memories in it.. but there is still a chance that J-us can travel again in the Time Machine to save original onf again and kill Evil Hyojin at the end.

8:50 yes it's been monotree since, mostly Hwang Hyun, since debut. Hwang Hyun has done all of their title tracks, most of them as the sole composer.
the flute sound in popping is actually layers of multiple instruments, monotree did a breakdown on their channel (they used to do a lot of breakdowns)
