- Cookie Run Kingdom has finally released Moonlight Cookie's Crystal Jam with the new Star Coral Cookie! However, the crystal jam does seem to be underwhelming at the moment with the damage heavily being increased once you get higher level crystal jam (20+). What do you guys think? I was expecting her to be way better then she actually is with the crystal jam.
Tbh she her damage is not so good until level ten, and there are many counters in arena such as wild Berry and Star Coral cookie, where she heals whenever she is getting sleep debuff and she heals the whole team for it, so In my opinion, moonlight Crystal jam needs much more investment and much more team comp discovering

I've tried every single comp there is for moonlight,my CJ is +10,no damage,she's on par with sea fairy now,before the CJ update she deals much more damage than now

Her kit is geared towards supporting the team which is interesting. Wildberry hard counters her tho like big time
On one hand, I’m glad that she’s not completely broken so we don’t have to deal with another monster in PVP but I think they severely undertuned the boost

Moonlight cookie is my favorite because she’s beautiful, and I love the galaxy representation, along with Dark Cacao, I’m glad both got a buff, hopefully Ml can work out in teams
i wished devsis would've made her more a broken debuffer with the weakness debuffs and be more of a support cookie than a regular damage one

hey hyrool! sea fairy’s crystal jam has been made stronger so i suggest you to test her out since you have her crystal jam a higher level than mine. fyi, i tested her out with a level 5 crystal jam and she did around 4-5 million damage on 12-13 by herself with no buffs but the whistle.
I really hope she turns out to be good at +20 and +30

The team I use against wildberry is elder faerie, dark cacao, stardust on cooldown, and moonlight with mystic. Elder Faerie really negates wildberry and I win about 90% of the time
i was confused on why wildberry became such a powerful cookie since i tend to lose to him at low levels

@linedoltrainerchannelgammi2247 Costumes make no changed. He had a general skill stat buff, his DMG RES buff went from like 5% to 17.5%, and his damage scaling changed from ATK to HP, as well as higher scaling numbers too.

Never have I seen a weaker buff before until Moonlight came in, the last time we've gotten someone so weak is Sea Fairy which is fitting because they are both overrated and very weak. She's not worth it at all, she's incredibly weak, removed her self healing because she basically needs another Cookie that can inflict sleep to the opponent for her to heal, is easily countered like the Wildberry comp which we literally just got before this update and overall, why would you focus on her when there are so many better alternatives to focus on in general? It would just be a waste of resources since there's so many Cookies that are much more worth it and she doesn't have enough to consider her a Legendary, let Stormbringer be the standard because she's treated like a real Legendary. Star Coral who is an Epic is better than her in everyway which includes damage and it's clear that they did not treat her well, honestly i'm not focusing on her anymore. I'm waiting for Milky Way's Magic Candy or focusing on other Cookies that are actually good

idk stardust started the broken beyond repair meta so they had to put stronger n stronger cookie just to counter him and they now have to deal w the "stronger cookie" in and endless cycle. they just putting out stuff wo testing it.

Ml jam feels underwhelming becuz there r way too broken cookies . The current is very hard for any cookie to fit in. Good review 👍👍

For some reason the skill damage wise is VERY underwhelming. Wtf were Devsisters thinking. Not everyone can get her CJ up to +20 unless you're the biggest whale ever; not even average whalers can achieve that first day of the update.
hey hyrool! are you able to do a review on star coral? i tested them against avatar of destiny with similar build as blackberry & it seems star coral is a good replacement while blackberry works as subtitute if players arent ready to build star coral yet (my dmg overall increased slightly but idk if it will increase for yours)

@@SillyWindGamer the buffs she give is only for water type cookies which there is no good water type cookie in meta rn and for make her deal damage you have to level her crystal Jam up to level 20 plus the buffs she give for water type cookies is not that significant

Hey Hyrool, would a team comp involving Moonlight and Crème Brûlée potentially be viable? I'm mainly thinking of how Moonlight can sleep the enemy, and then Crème would snipe. It doesn't solve the issue with Wildberry at all, but maybe in non-arena gameplay?

Well what do you expect? Moonlight needed a buff badly especially since she's a Legendary and there's way too many good Cookies. If this was released a year ago then this would be fine but it's too late for that

I got her jam to level 10 and I'm using her in a comp with dark cacao, financier, mystic flour and cream ferret. She's doing really good for now, but her dmg sure is kinda low. I'll try to swap cream ferret with stardust to see if it does better
I never saw her much of a damage dealer like other mage cookies, more of a debuff applier. Then again, I wasn't around when she was heavy on meta... From what I see, she could be good with a damage dealer like Stardust or White Lily/other big damage cookie while she applies drowsy; however, I think that'd be impossible because of the tri-tank meta, which destroys most of the double damage teams.

Man I got so Lucky today 😭firstly black pearl cookie, then crimson coral, then stardust and to top it for a sea fairy from a single pull 😭 (the only one that I had was sea fairy)
I think she's really more towards a supportive/sub DPS type of cookie rather than a main DPS. I think it's not entirely a flop. If you think about it, Sea Fairy's initial crystal jam or Cream Unicorn's Magic Candy is way wotse than this. My take on her jam is like this:
"Is it enough to bring her back to a competitive spotlight in the arena?" Yes.
"Is it enough to make her completely shake the arena meta and change it?" No. Dark Cacao and Mystic Flour are still the two most broken cookies. Moonlight just unlocks more comps to add some diversity in the arena.
So should i even level her crystal jam up or nah?

I made a one shot comp containing Mystic, Moonlight, Dark cacao(awk), rebel and frost queen need 2 second start dark cacao and 3 second start rebel and mystic and 4 second start on moonlight and froet queen (both raspberry)

the bad thing after we make her crystal jam,dmg resist bypass is removed and need +10,to get it back😅,so frost queen is better option for dps Rightnow alongside dark cacao stardust,strombringer,and white lily

For now try to get any safeguard cream ferret cookie, the best guard cookie is financier, she's epic so it should be quite easy to get her + her magic candy, try to replace blackpearl asap with any of the following: golden cheese, white lily, stormbringer or dark cacao dragon lord (frostqueen with crystaljam +20 is decent)
There are many viable builds nowadays but that one would be the mainstream/most used.
I don't have mystic flour so I'm using this comp: dark cacao, stormbringer, financier, golden cheese and cream ferret, doing fine currently in elite 3, gl hf
If this person has Mystic Flour, recommending a safeguard cookie automatically makes Mystic Flour less powerful.
