Thanks very helpful indeed. I have a D 800 plus which I shall keep. Love the hi-filter which cuts boom on old hollow stages. I have always preferred clean solid state tones for bass. I was tempted to try the TT800, but it's a lot more to pay out and I have never really got on with warmer Tube amps Fender Bassman or Ampegs too fuzzy and wooly for me, always preferred old Acoustic control stuff. Cheers
I’ve used Bag End cabinets for over 20 years now. Usually I run it through an S15 & and an S12. Sometimes two of the 12 inch cabinets sometimes two of the fifteens. I’ve even run it through Four!
It doesn’t sound anything like it. It sounds an awful lot like a passive tone control. you might find on an instrument but more focused on the mids than the highs if that makes any sense. It does have a slight boost past 2 o’clock as well. It is a very musical sounding and useful control.
I have an D800 plus with a subway 410. Perfect rig
D-800 for me, it's plug n play!

I actually just traded my Trickfish .5 for a Mesa 800+. Should be here Friday. I have a Minnow pre, so I should have both sounds covered.
Great video. What cabinet do you pair it with?

How is the Passive Mid Control different from the typical Enhance knob (mid cut) that is so prevalent on bass amps?
