  • Fr Jeremy Driscoll, OSB explains the Liturgy of the Hours. Composed of Psalms, canticles, antiphons and prayers, the Liturgy of the Hours finds its historical roots in the ancient and venerable prayer of the synagogue.

I plan on joining a Benedictine monastery in Cullman, Alabama (after I have been Baptized, Confirmed and Catholic for a year or two) if they will have me.

I am a lay person and I pray the Divine Office. Try it, you will find joy and peace in it.

Fr.Driscoll thank you for that very detailed yet emotional presentation of the liturgy of the hours. It has more than re-enforced that I am doing the right thing by returning to the church. God bless

This is very informative and beautiful. I wonder if a layperson could learn to say the Divine Office??
Thanks so much for this video. God bless.
