Muslim Conquest of Jerusalem

  • Testimony from a non-muslim about the Muslim conquest of Jerusalem that is contrary to the myth of Islam being spread by the sword!
A correction on one of his comments in the end:
Umar Ibn Al Khattab (RadiAllahu Anhu - may Allah be pleased with him) grounded Khalid Ibn Al Waleed (RadiAllahu Anhu - may Allah be pleased with him), not because he was under threat of losing out on popularity or that Khalid (R.A.) was a threat to the Khilafah. It was because the new muslims and foreign lands coming under Islamic rule started attributing special powers to Kahlid (R.A.) and developing the belief that the Muslims could not lose under Khalid's (R.A.) leadership. It was a higher priority for Umar (R.A) to demonstrate that victory comes from Allah and could be achieved in Khalid's (R.A.) absence as well. Umar (R.A.) also wanted to protect Khalid's title - Saifullah ( the sword of Allah) and did not want him to die in battle as this would mean that the sword had been defeated or broken, and it could be a huge psychological blow to the average muslim soldier who believed that Khalid (R.A.) was invincible.
This is borne out by the fact that despite being the Khalifah, Umar (R.A) did not surround himself with worldly luxuries or benefits and lived a very simple life

There’s ONE MORE sentence to complete that story.. Khalid ibn AlWalid (ra) was expressing those feelings to a visiting friend..
“I have sought martyrdom in a hundred battles. Why could I not have died in battle?”
“You could not die in battle”, replied the friend.
    “Why not?”
“You must understand, O Khalid,” the friend explained, “that when the Messenger of Allah, on whom be the blessings of Allah and peace, named you the Unsheathed Sword of Allah, he predetermined that you would not fall in battle. If you had been killed by an unbeliever it would have meant that Allah’s sword had been broken by an enemy of Allah; and that could never be.”
Khalid ibn AlWaleed was 58 when he passed away.
May Allah be pleased with him and all the companions of our beloved Prophet Mohammed upon whom be peace and blessings. Ameen 🤲🏼

    Timeline:
-Roman (massacre jews and destroyed the temple)
-Caliph Umar (took authority without a single blood shed of people inside, christians civilians can keep their properties, and he invited jews to move in right away)
-hundreds years later: Crusade (massacre jews, christians and muslims inside even babies)
-90years later: Sultan Salahuddin (crusaders killing caravan of traders and hajs even tho there were peace treaty), when Sultan took over Jarusalem he provided protection for civilians and crusaders on their way to christian land, some stay.
-British past gov+zionist+US (destroying properties and killing civilians).
Palestinian was welcoming jews refugees from holocoust even in British oppression era UNTIL zionist destroy people homes instead of build their own and kill eo.
The Commandment: ." *Come in the gates while prostrating (with humility)* "
."if bani israel back with their *'arrogance and destruction'* then God will send back the punishment." (hear Al Isra 4-8)

Contrary to popular misconceptions, it is important to acknowledge the historical truth that the Islamic conquests were characterized by a profound sense of honor and respect towards the inhabitants of the lands they conquered. The Islamic conquerors, far from being indiscriminate in their actions, carefully adhered to principles that forbade the killing of peaceful individuals within their homes. This included men, women, children, and elderly individuals who were not to be harmed in any way.
Moreover, it is worth noting that the Islamic conquerors were also mindful of the environment and the property of the conquered people. They refrained from uprooting trees or burning down houses needlessly, demonstrating a high level of respect for the land and the possessions of others. Even in the treatment of prisoners of war, Islam emphasized the importance of humane and compassionate behavior, instructing its followers to treat captives with kindness and dignity.
This ethos of respect, compassion, and restraint exemplified by the Islamic conquests serves as a powerful reminder of the values that underpinned these historical events. By upholding principles of mercy, justice, and empathy, the Islamic conquerors sought to establish a legacy of honor and righteousness that extended beyond mere military victories. It is through a nuanced understanding of history that we can appreciate the complexities of the past and strive to learn valuable lessons that resonate with contemporary ethical standards.

When he received the power of the city of Aelia, Umar bin Khattab made an agreement or also known as the Umar convention. The contents of the agreement are as quoted by Kyai Husein Muhammad from Ibn Jarir al-Thabari in Tarikh al-Umam wa al-Muluk, Dar al-Kutub al-'Ilmiyyah, (Beirut, 1997, volume II, p. 449), as follows:
"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This is what the servant of Allah, Umar, the leader/servant of the believers, gave to the people of Aelia. It is a guarantee of security. Umar guaranteed security/protection of the right to life, property rights, church buildings, their crosses, weak people, free people and all religious adherents. Their churches are not to be occupied, not to be destroyed, nothing to be taken away from what is in the church or taken from its place; not even their crosses, not their possessions, their inhabitants were not forced to practice their religious beliefs and not a single person was harmed…”
The signing of this agreement was witnessed by Khalid Ibn al-Walid, Amr bin 'Ash, Abd al-Rahman bin 'Auf, Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan and was set on 20 Rabi'ul Awal 15 H.

The rules of war in Islam prohibited targeting the old, children, women and the clergy of any religion, even non-combatant men. Similarly, cutting down trees, destroying crops and poisoning wells is prohibited.
There was the Islamic convention well before the Geneva convention, which no other religious or non-religious ideology can demonstrate as a part of its teachings before Islam in its final form.

Question was, Did Hazrat Omer pray in this compound after cleaning the garbage ?
As to your point that mosque was not built on the temple
My search says that, the whole compound within four walls was the place of worship for Jews. The Dome and the mosque inside south wall was built by later Muslims. Both these two structures are built at the site of Jews temple OR Jews mosque.
My concern is that whether Hazrat Omer prayed on this compound ??

Whatever it is quran is for jews Christians and rest of world as well, Umar may of prayed anywhere but one things for sure is if they believe in a third temple than that third temple technically would be the mosque itself, why because islam is the final revelation and whoever built the masjid there has already done what was granted by Allah, the jews have already been banished from Israel, they were to never to return until their own messiah appears, so even by the standards of their corrupt books they weren't meant to return to Israel anyway they were to remain scattered and soon they will face the same reality and will be removed killed and banished once again.

    • @Ahsannn
      @Ahsannn 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

Hazrat Umar (R.A) prayed close to the church of Holy Sepulchre which is quite away from the Al Aqsa Mosque compound (mosque, dome, courtyard, western wall) as that is the place where the Pope took him first and when the prayer time started, Hazrat Umar (R.A) offered the salat/prayer outside the church. You can Google "Omar Mosque, Jerusalem" and it will easily show the actual place.
Later on, as highlighted in the video, Hazrat Umar (R.A) asked for the place of Temple Mount which had been a dumpster for centuries under Roman rule. Actually the whole Temple Mount (2nd Temple of Jews) of which only Western Wall remained at that time was the dumpster which later on under Muslim rule got cleaned and encompassed in the Al Aqsa Mosque compound of today. Later on a mosque was built, courtyard was established, Dome of the Rock was constructed, boundary walls were erected and the "Western Wall" was made part of the compound instead of demolishing (bcoz who was stopping them??) but they chose not to considering its sanctity to the Jewish people.
May Allah SWT shower bessings on the liberators of Jerusalem, Hazrat Umar Farooq (R.A) and Salah ud din Ayyubi (R.A) and infinite Salam and darood on their teacher Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ who taught them to be modest and humble even in the greatest of victories 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Disagree with your comment. Historically incorrect.
As a scholar of Islamic history, it is well known that Umar had a tense relationship with Khalid, his cousin, because of Khalid's conduct and behaviour.
Khalid was, no doubt, a military genius. But he didn't always follow the rules of war as clearly set out by Islam.
There are numerous examples of this. As this story also shows, he tried to impersonate Umar - another thing the Khalifa would never accept.
That is why Khalid was "retired" and removed from his leadership role. That is the real reason and its is very well documented in Islamic history.
What you claim is ahistorical and a fantasy, in affairs to tell you. Read the original works of Islamic history and not the myths being made up by current "sheikhs" that like to paint everything in some fantasy utopian light.

Zechariah 14 proves Islam is the truth, and that the Zionists are the bad guys
(Verse 2) 2 For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women raped; half the city shall go into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
[here we see that the whole world will be involved, as can be seen today with this conflict, so the holy land & Jerusalem will be attacked but hold on let’s move to another verse…]
(Verse 14) And Judah also shall fight against Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the Gentiles round about shall be gathered together: gold and silver and apparel in great abundance.

Relax brother! These are minor errors during the flow of narration by the speaker. Is that what you picked up on, instead of the major error where he thinks that Umar R.A. was jealous or afraid of Khalid R.A.'s popularity!!?? Rather than understanding the fact that Umar R.A , replaced Khalid R.A. as the General because it was affecting people's belief as they were starting to believe that Khalid R.A could never lose a battle and all the success was because of him. This was dangerous for the people's understanding and faith in Allah. Umar R.A. showed them that it was Allah who granted victory or loss and Khalid R.A. was just another slave of Allah. The muslims continued to have success in war even after Khalid R.A was replaced as the General.

When God punished the remaining unbelievers in 1ST century Israel, amongst Jewry,he turned that region of Israel into a desert.no more vineyards,no more fruit,no more vegetables...if anyone thought that they had gained anything from that land in that condition, then they were deluded.who wants to inherit a desert? No one.God started to replenish the land when the Jews returned,as a sign that he wanted them back there. All of a sudden God had water burst out of rock faces.the land became arable again.the Jews are meant to be there, and they paid hefty prices for each patch of land they were to take,by offering the remaining Arabs a lot more for that patch of land than what it was worth.those Arabs were happy, and left for Saudi Arabia with enormous happiness.

This is highly anti-factual, anti-semetic and ahistorical. There are vast amounts of farmable land in the Levant and current Israel. Jewish people have been persecuted for centuries. Ironically, it was Muslim states that tended to offer them safe harbor, multiple times.
