Cool video! Quick question. How do you tell when it’s full? Is there an indicator? In addition to the savings, at least you can cook things even without power. Great for emergencies! Thanks for sharing.
There is not an indicator. The only way to know is when the tank/bag on top is fully expanded. Which we will show in the next video! And yes perfect for black outs! Thank you for watching!
Hello thank you for the update. I did not understand the part where you could not import the digesting bacteria? Does it not come with the unit when you but it?
Hi, no it does not come with the unit. You have to buy it separately. When we bought the unit, we didn't set it up until 5 months later not knowing we needed a starter kit to get it started until we read the instruction. When we looked on their website to buy the bacteria kit, it said they didn't have it in stock and we didn't want to wait for it so we decided to use manure.
@@macailea Thank you for your reply. It must be an issue with customs for some countries to import I would imagine, hence the reason for selling separately. I just don't want to start with manure! Wanted to do it for a company canteen food waste. Thank you for sharing your experience and keep posting on the savings you make i.e the 3hrs of cooking gas.
Ah yes lol the manure wasn't our first choice either. You can definitely buy the home biogas system and the bacteria kit at the same time so you don't have to wait for it. Thank you so much for watching! And yes more video to come!
Great video . I have two questions please . Counting from the day of first feed , how many days did you start getting enough gas in the gas bag ?. Also if you burn a stove for 2 hrs , how many days will it take to replenish the same quantity of gas that was used ?
@chidiayoanasonye It took about a month to get gas. It does replenish right away the next day even. But if you're trying to get 2 more hrs worth of gas again, id say it took less than a week if we weren't using it at all and just collecting. The hotter it is and more you feed the faster you get gas. But in the beginning, you're not suppose to feed it so much. I have heard that if you grind your food before putting it in the biogas, its also faster at producing.
Yes. I uploaded another video on it when we left it for 2 weeks. I will be putting up another video on how much electricity we have saved from using it.
It was so cute when you said hay nako. 🤣 Thanks for sharing this one! I was just a lil worried, do you think the lining of the biogas tent sturdy enough or for how long do you think it may last? :) Thank you!
Hahaha Thank you! The lining is very thick and sturdy feeling. It should last at least 5 years which is what the company says. The new one they came out with says 10 years.
I used viva video as my editor and I have not had good experience with it. It is not doing what it's suppose to do. So a heads up if you are wanting to use this type of editor.
Partial sun is fine. The hottest the more gas you get. Add long as it's at least hot in the area, you will get gas. Put it on the south side if you can. Bacteria likes to grow in hot area.
It is hard to tell how many hours exactly because I don't cook for a long time on it. I cook everyday on it so it doesn't have time to get to the fullest or maximum amount. I know I have gotten more than 2 hours. It says on the website it has 3 hours pf cooking time if startong from a full bag.

It’s great to have an industrious mate isn’t it!? My guy is like this too! Just builds and fixes everything!
She's a riot, couldn't live with her but i could sure hang out
Where did you buy it I need one in kenya
I bought it off their website. Homebiogas.com
Should consider a Hungry Bin for the extra leaves and weeds lying around your yard, makes great compost.

Really cool, everyone should have one of these !!
Yes seriously! Especially when there's a black out or your stove is broken lol

Once up and running you should get 2 or 3 hours of gas a day.
Would Florida's health dept ever permit this in place of a traditional septic system?
That I'm not sure of.
hay nako hahaha beautiful pinay good luck to your vlogs kabayan!
Salamat po!
Thanks for this great video

any updates on this thing? i just purchased mine and im still waiting for it to arrive.

This biogas is going strong now and it is best in the summer as we are getting more gas faster! It is amazing for heating up anything.
hi how about the slug?could we pump it out?
Do you mean sludge? Are you asking if you are able to pump the stuff out of the biogas system so you can move it to a different location?
Hi FARES times falsies ho makes

@Nelson Lourenço we have not attached it to the oven but we are wanting to. I think you have to modify it to be able to attach the biogas on it.
Finally have all the parts for our set up, gonna be making a video as well.... this is the only video showing the details, mahalo!
Really glad my crazy video could help!

How's it going now... How much gas do you get
It is making so much gas! Especially in the summer because of the heat! We use it so much and it replenishes pretty quickly

Natawa talaga ako sa iyo ate. :-) Di ko rin kaya magmix ng poopoo na ganyan karami. :-)
Hahahhaha salamat po!
Doesn't chlorine kill ur bacteria?
Yes it does. But it's a tablet that is in a spot that doesn't touch the bacteria inside the unit but only the water that comes out.
Put your litter box droppings and dog waste in there, too. It should be able to take all your grass clippings and lawn waste.
It's recommended from the company not to put grass in it.

Yes that is true. I would go to restaurants or produce markets and maybe get their waste since I know they have plenty!
He’s working hard for their family and she complaining.
He likes the honesty. But he knows I appreciate him and thank him everyday for building the biogas
Monica Ailea ok then. We’re putting ours together now.
That's awesome! It really is amazing! We're definitely saving money by using it!
Thro a bakers rack in front of it! No one will see! :)
It sounds like Monica is in the wrong line of work.
