    oh jill these farm themed centerpieces and treat pails are adorable. I love those boxes for holding the centerpieces too. The raffia bows on the barn is so clever. the party theme is wonderful and your party decorations will really add so much to the party festivities. hope you are having a super week. hugs, susan

    Those were very nice, they looked very professional. I wanted to ask you which machine do you prefer cricut explore or silhouette?

    • @cricflix
      @cricflix  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michelle Judge Cameo Silhouette a thousand times plus some....I use to own 10 Cricut Machines and sold all of them. I will never use a Cricut machine again, their software is nothing compared to the Silhouette. Provocraft has a tough time keeping their software up to date which is crucial in my business.

      Thank you, that's what i will purchase. My E2 just died, and I was torn between the two machines.

    • @cricflix
      @cricflix  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      The new Explore is unable to cut the sizes as large as the cameo, apparently there is an update coming down the road but my past experience is their updates are usually a dead end :o) Definitely go with the Cameo.

      Also, learning the software if you ever have any questions I am more than happy to help you.

      That's funny you said that, I posted a question if the new machine cut 12x24? after finding out you can't buy the paper packs anymore

    I truely enjoy your work and am inspired to create. My question is can I do the cut outs with out a circut or a machine like that. Can i run the image through my inkjet printer.

    • @cricflix
      @cricflix  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nicol Ayers You can use the software for free and if you want to cut out by hand you surely can however I would make sure they were large and simple....I would not ever attempt to cut out small prints by hand.

    • @nicolayers222
      @nicolayers222 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Which software is that, that is free?

    • @cricflix
      @cricflix  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Cameo Silhouette, the download is a free simple version but if you are just wanting to do prints that is all you need. For the more complicated cuts/designs you would need the upgraded version which normally is $50.

    Hi Jill I love your work... I've been watching your videos for quite sometime now and i've recently purchased my own silhouette cameo. Can you verify your cut settings for the neenah exact 40414 paper you recommended please? i can seem to get my images cut out as neatly as yours

    • @cricflix
      @cricflix  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      chadknow1 Make sure your blade is set to 6 and my cut choice is card stock, plain. Your blade does not come set correctly just in case you did not know that. All the blades are set to zero when new and you must set them to 5+, I always start at 6.

    For the center pieces do you use cardstock? Also where can I purchase the boxes? Thank you in advance

  • @salzaliful
    @salzaliful 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey Jill...you mentioned that you have a stack of lids from those boxes that you wont be using!!!..however I find that to be such a waste...I mean you spent money on those things!!...anyways a little idea just popped into my head...I bet you can still use those box lids as BASES FOR THE PROPS that u make...I bet it's sturdy enough that you can drill a hole in it n hot glue a dowel rod into it!!..hope you consider it n give it a try..:)

    • @cricflix
      @cricflix  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      salzaliful Good call.....I tried to use it for the stick by putting the lid on the box but it wasn't sturdy enough to keep the piece from sliding around. I will see if I can come up with something that I could use for a base on my one foot pieces,I could cover the lid itself to match the centerpiece I am making. Actually I just thought of something, it will be my next video. THANK YOU!!!!!
