There is a online calculator to calculate the total clamping force with the elongation of the rods/tie-bars Only thing you need is a dial indicator with a high readout
Awesome work :) Can't wait to see the rest :) I would imagine making all the moulds at the exact same thickness would simplify the process though? Also, maybe you could add some dowels on the "fixed part" of the mould to be able to locate it easily, so to only have the moving part to adjust? Don't know if that makes sense
Definitely would help minimize the adjustments and the thickness are now standard for my molds. dowels would work for indexing the back side and something I may consider.
