i think a lot of tier 9 tanks are stronger than tier 10 (tier for tier in comparison to other t9 tanks). My fav is the best heavy tank at tier 9 imo. The all mighty E75
I think a lot of tier 9s feel better because they all have +1 -2 mm. The jump from tier 9 to 10 is also not a big jump in comparison to other tiers, like tier 8 to 9 for example. Germany probably has this issue a lot because it's a much older TT, like with tier 9 waffle, e50, e75 and pta.
obj 263 with exp turbo/hardening and rammer. pure disrespect in tank form. that thing is just stupid and in my opinion better than the now terribly slow 268/4. no weakspot on top than the tiny insideplates of the upper hull next to the gun, stupid fast, slapping gun, tough upper hull. basically you are the door kicker with the sawed off shotgun :D

You lose 1k dpm and .1 accuracy by switching from the 122, but having 700 alpha with 250 pen and a 15 second reload at tier 7 is balanced ))). The gun handling I've found isn't even that bad, and with a turbo mobility is solid.
I vastly prefer my Tortoise over my Badger. I think the biggest thing is that gun traverse; it just gives the Tortoise so much more flexibility than the Badger. Plus I find hiding the cupola is easier than the lower plate on the Badger.
I personally like the ebr 90 better than the 105. The same reverse speed as forward speed, and while the speed is 8 kmh less than the tier 10, along with 10m less view range, it just feels more comfortable to me, and ended up being the first tier 9 I 3 marked. It also might help that people grinding up the line with bad crew, only standard equipment, or are just inexperienced in the ebr helps.
IS-3-II is my favorite t9 tank, the only problem i have is that people load gold on t10 tanks and shoot the mantlet, but other than that its way better than the t10.
My favorite Tier IXs should be the WZ-111G FT and Skoda T50. Those two always bring me such joy to play. That Chinese TD is surprisingly quite accurate, and it has ridiculous 395mm HEAT to chew harder targets.
As a recommendation I suggest Standard B.... So good tank. Its like Leopard but with a autoloader. You played Progetto 65 ages ago and after the nerf its like "ohh boy, ohh boy" :D The only better thing in the tier 10 is that it have one more shell to play around the reload time and the trollish' armour in tier 9mm Standard B is better.
I've been grinding the AT 15 for a while now to get to the Tortoise, but still a long way to go. I can only play a couple of hours a week due to work and other obligations, but I'll get there eventually.
Waffle vs grille 15. Sure you don’t have the alpha damage, but when you have 352 gold pen with good alpha and amazing handling? What can go wrong is only the player.
I've recently retrained my obj 268v4 crew back to the obj 263 and haven't regretted it. I think I do well for both but the 263 doesn't have a cupola that everyone shoots at while still having good alpha and speed
Let me see object 704, e75, e50, T54lwt, WZ 111G FT, 395 heat pen at tier9 is insane and armor actually works well against tier7s and tier8s, object 257 since is7 has been power creeped, tortoise for sure and conway with that baby derp gun.

Many tanks are balanced around +-2 mm, but tier 10's are always top tier. Take the K-2 for example. It is nearly impossible for a tier 7 to pen it, let alone 6. If a tier 10 was balanced the same way, only tier 10s firing gold would have any hope of penning it.
13 90 is a beast! But I played with it recently and it's completely different feeling, like they nerfed it a lot although I didn't really follow news in last 3 years (since I'm not playing the game actively anymore).

I think one Tier IX that is stronger than its Tier X counterpart, is the IS-3-II. Even tho I love my ST-II and have lots of fun playing it, the Tier IX is slightly better

Almost everything is better than badger - including prem Turtle Mk1. But for wg is not something new - make tier 10, what completly doesnt fit to the line or is just recourse. Its best proof that nobody knows there what they are doing. Even 1 on 1 Tort will win in 90% cases with Badger. Its not normal.

E-50 is the KING in T9. E-75 and T-10 is also a lot stronger than their T10 counterparts.
