What's going on everyone?? In today's video I'm showing you how to install Arch Linux on a UEFI based computer. Arch Linux, while it might seem difficult at first, in reality it isn't all that hard to install. This video is my first step in switching to Linux from Windows. Arch Linux is a rolling release distribution which constantly stays updated. Arch Linux makes it super easy to build a sort of custom Linux distribution. My favorite desktop environment is KDE Plasma, and I usually rice it similar to MacOS. If I don't use Plasma, I use bspwm, along with polybar.

To make a bootable USB stick, use Ventoy, it's a lot easier to use and much more polyvalent: just copy and paste the ISO onto the key. This way you can have as many ISOs as you want.
I'd recommend you use torrent to download your images, as it automatically checks for corrupt files.
You made a mistake into your /etc/hosts: the last line should be "127.0.1.1", not "127.0.0.1
You don't have to type "y" when prompted [Y/n]: the letter written in capital will be the default choice if you only press Enter.

Now just type archinstall ; then follow commands.
now . got it why people . flex . while saying "btw, i use arch " . .I wil be in linux . someday . for now i can't . dont know why
