Beyond Ayahuasca:
Occurrence and Biological Activities
of Some Naturally Occurring ß-carbolines
Psychedelic Science 2017

A six-day global gathering of the international scientific community in Oakland, California to explore new research into the benefits and risks of MDMA, LSD, psilocybin, ayahuasca, ketamine, ibogaine, medical marijuana, and more.
I love this man. He is such a treasure.
a friend once introduced me to a non dmt, pure vine only, ayahuasca brew which (2 kg plant material per 700ml) can be consumed in 7 ml portions, on a regular base, hardly interfering with daily activities (maybe the first 2 hours can be lazy) but the effects, both short term and long term are really beneficial and rather stunning. The focus on DMT is something that hopefully will recide, and the use of vine only brews has great potential
This was a great lecture, very informative. Thanks for uploading - and thanks, Dennis!
Wonderful lecture!
Hey Doc, is there an updated source of dangerous interactions for RIMA's?
Since the broad warnings for all (and mostly irreversible) MAOI's are not exactly the same for reversibles in discrete circumstances.
Is there any way Dennis would share this PowerPoint file? Or perhaps a PDF?
Thank you
Couldn't the answer to the psychoativity be as simple as, inhibiting monoamine oxidaise alows any endoginously produced DMT to become active? So even though there's still nowhere close to breakthrough-doses being endoginously produced, that you would have an increased serotonin level and a slight decrease of activity in the default mode network?
If this were the case you'd expect all RIMA and MAOI to cause psychedelic effects by potentiating endogenous DMT. There may be research out there already examining the effects of higher doses of other MAOI/RIMAs, which might illuminate this.
My guess is that this is not the case. Endogenous DMT would be in such low concentration that even with fully inhibited MAO, there would be too much contention from other neurotransmitters who are also no longer getting oxidized. Also this would be well documented from back when MAOIs were more frequently prescribed.
How can I reach Dennis?
I tried to oder his book and got messed up but red tape
