It is currently 3:02AM here in Northern Ireland, but you know what no excuses. Told you guys I was going to have Part 2 posted today and 3 going up on Wednesday and that is what is going to happen. Although, the extremely slow internet caused a bit of an issue we still go the job done. Enjoy the video and stay dark horse! I'm passing out for a few hours then hitting up Portrush for the practice round tomorrow.
You the man Brodie smith thanks for all you do your videos where actually recommended by by doctor for depression /anxiety is how I came across them lol and they help that and my golf game to and fun to watch I have that cause of being injured when I use to be and officer and work and a jail as a deputy jailer Probably watch 10 videos a day or so and re watch some
I love the challenges of playing in poor weather. It's a real test of one's abilities. As a bonus, courses don't tend to be crowded when the weather is iffy. I especially like playing in the winter. Since the ground is hard, you get good rolls on your tee shots and if you're dressed for the cold, it's quite beautiful.
This is what the fans of golf never get to experience watching THE OPEN on television. I've played in the rain numerous times but never on a course like this. It's so hard to stay focused on your fundamentals when your soaking wet and ''cold'' too. aka ''MISERABLE'' ..............!!!!!
I love playing in the rain! I live in cali, love it for two reasons, its very rare and fun to practice, and two, most importantly, when it rains everyones scared to play! Course is wide open.
ha.......your summer weather is the same as our winter weather.....although I think it was warmer in Auckland today..July 17 - dead in the middle of winter and we got to a high of 15c - we have had some nasty showers today though - what a great thing to come home to....your part two of Royalrush...just loving this 3 part series.
Yes i love playing in the rain and cold. When you live in Washington state that's how November through February is. LOL Also when you hit a bad shot it was the weather 🤣😂🤣😂
I actually do like playing in the cold and rain. I grew up playing on cheap courses in bad weather, so whenever it rains in a tournament, I know I have the advantage. Puts me in a good frame of mind.
Love to see peoble that isnt used to play in the rough its such a hard part of the game. im from denmark and we have rough like that everywhere so lost hole if you miss your drive. love the vids
Hope your having a great time mate one of the best courses in the world and only 15 minutes away from I live and generally a stunning town with some fantastic views, was only time before this course got to host a big event like the open again
The temper tantrum dance after 10 was darkhorse epic-ness. Our personalities are so similar; I could watch this all day. I know people say don't be so hard on yourself, but I know how it is to be uber competitive. Literally EVERYTHING is a competition. It's a real thing. Anything less than being the absolute best at whatever you do is irritating to us. You got a sympathizer, Brodster, I'm with ya.
I don’t think anybody likes playing in those conditions lol but from expirence I think it’s one of the best ways to test your Golf skills and how you focus into your game, just because I know for fact like having soaked shoes would throw me off something serious lol. So in the weather condition that your playing in the fact that your still playing composed speaks a lot about your game. Keep killing it Brodie!!! Appreciate everything you do for us golfaholics!!
I personally don’t like playing in the cold. When I play for my school it is cold for 90% of the matches (I live in Wisconsin) and they suck tbh. I wish I could be there for the Open because I could get in for free, that would be so cool.
Brodie when I was younger I liked to play in all conditions!! I looked at it as a challenge. But now since I don't get to play as much I normally want to play or practice with normal weather!! I think the weather there constantly changes!! Excited to see how the pros play that course!! Still you are playing pretty good Brodie!!
A couple years ago on the 4th of July I played a round just over 6 hours. Every hole had a foursome on the green, one waiting to hit approach shots, one on the tee box, and the 4th waiting to get on the tee box
I definitely like going in the rain or when its scattered rain played in it 2 days ago rained lightly then stopped when it down poured and last few holes it had stopped good day Shot a 71 at 18 hole par 3 in ky called sullivans par 3 which par is 54 my best was 60 which is 6 over par my average there is 73 to 77
I work outdoors and when it rains there is no work and I golf almost every rain day I get.but I live in so cal so the cold I have no idea about! Love your vids,I been shaving more and more grinding dark horse style
I definitely prefers playing under the perfect sun but I find it amusing once in a whole to play even if it is a cold or rainy day for a change, to experience different weather and how it affects my game.
@@BrodieSmithGolf you are a beast regardless! you have such a smooth but powerful swing, you honestly look exactly like Adam Scotts. you will be a pro one day!
Played a 7 hour round in 116 degree Oklahoma heat when I was 17. Multiple kids had to stop playing due to dehydration and fatigue. Some stopped because of minor heat stroke. I shot a crappy 77, or so I thought, and got into the club house to see I had won by 4 shots.
Coldest I've played in was 9 degrees Celsius and pouring rain. It was the first round of a year but nothing was stopping me haha. Makes you a better golfer.
I like the cold but maybe only a sprinkle not pouring rain. One of my top rounds was when it was 34 outside but it’s because a lot of other guys didn’t play as well through cold
Brodie you will probably never play off a plastic mat again but, if you do try turning it over onto the flat side grass down, there is a little indent to hold the ball and it does not "grab" the ball when hitting it!! Another good tip for you, waterproof golf shoes as it always rains in Ireland just like where I live in Manchester England, you have to be prepared. Loving the Vlog.
Holy hell look at that green on 7. Is that the new design or the whole course has greens with 75 small slopes all over it? That thing is straight nasty
idk if anyone really enjoys it but when I played in High School and it was raining most people got extremely bothered by it and shot like 5 strokes worse than their avg and if you can just get over the uncomfortableness you can really take advantage of the soft conditions especially when super quick greens get slowed down from it.
If you like playing off mats so much you should check out Al Ghazal Golf Club. Golf with no grass! The “browns” are a mix of motor oil and dirt. Pretty interesting. Maybe a course vlog in the future
Yes Brodie, no, I'm with you, I don't like playing in the cold or in the rain. When it's cold every miss hit becomes a stinger (a stinger for your fingers, that is) but you're actually doing very well. But do try and stay out of the cabbage patch.
I think youre playing pretty dam good on a very tough course, seems to be the old story of stay out of the rough and youre in with a chance, that's why the tourney will be determined by the guy who stays out of the shit eh Brodie??. you don't need to be mega long just super straight, 3 over after 12 is pretty good in that shitty weather Bro!! Great vlog , as always
Here in Ireland quite a few players love lying in the rain (not me) and when it’s windy and raining those p,Ayers know they have a much better chance of winning and they usually to rise to the to of the field.

good job getting the job done 😄

Production quality is so good with the drone footage showing the bunker distances & how big the greens are
Finally got it uploaded? stupid WiFi
Love the voice over intro
The WiFi is bad in Northern Ireland because I live there
Here today
Garrett that’s because THERES A LITTLE GAP in the WiFi 😆
Missing Brodie smith golf, watching some classics - it’s what got me into watching TH-cam golf.. should make a comeback!
This is the greatest vid of all time 👀
Brodie Smith is that you Tom?
i love this little series
I mean it's good... But the socks better not have gotten ruined haha

def challenges you

Brodie needs to play a round with Dude Perfect.
But my eardrums?!
So glad this video dropped I love this course so much
Ultimate video on how to grind your day to pars. Nicely done, and yeah, having an "eagle eye" to help find balls, is awesome!
You only like playing in that weather when the course is beautiful like that! If it's your home course, heck no...rain check!
This is by far the best 3 part vlog you've ever done bro...
Well this is only part 2
@@BrodieSmithGolf I know bro, but I could tell straight from part 1, everything about it is amazing...

The rough at Royal Portrush is #brutal. It an awesome golf course. Can’t wait to see the Open played here.
Loving the graphic before each hole.
Awesome VLOG very well produced and awesome timing with the open starting tomorrow. Good job mate
Thanks!
You can’t see my face but I was shocked when that putt didn’t go in... also shocked to get in the vid!!! 13:40
that was a sick putt

Great vid. Kind of cool that you have a tea named after you.
Idk about anybody else but that joke at 7:11 made me laugh
Great content. Keep up the good work bro 💪🏼
Cold yes. Rain I have not tried. I have teed off below 30 degrees before.
Saving the divots for the pros
Dope video! I'd much rather play in a steady rain over strong winds any day💯
i love playing in 55 degree cloudy weather with a mist. those are my perfect conditions
The Mist...great show on Netflix

Me and mates on the hill at 3min mark!! Haha awesome
Love playing in the cold and rain
great vid and i actually love playing with in the rain
Awesome video Brodie! Come back to Gville and make a vlog at Bostick! Go Gators!
at like 1:50 was that the caddies fault that u ended up in bunker or did u chose the line
i think he was hinting that the caddy screwed up
I like playing in the cold and rain just cause you have the course to your self
I love cold golf! Try to play late fall early winter golf a few times a year
I just didn't have the right type of clothing for this haha
So stoked when I see you uploaded a new golf video!😂😂 playing for the ones who don’t have the time!
Another great vid brodie
236 up hill in wet conditions 6 iron lol. That is absurd! love the videos

I feel your pain on the putting. If I were you I have put a heavier mallet putter in play in those conditions. Keep up the good videos my man.
That could have been smart
well 3 over after 12 especially in the rain, straight up beast
Brodie phrased that question nicely when he asked about the cold and rain. what he really wanted to say was "is anyone out there a psychopath?"
i like playing in light rain by myself it’s relaxing
5:53 had me dying 😂😂😂 (if anyone actually enjoys that)
Pretty much perfect...yupp. Digging the videos, keep it up!
Rain doesn't bother me unless its pouring down rain. And Longest round ever was a high school event that I played it in took 6:30 hours to play 18
Cold rain does indeed suck, but it beats the humid heat of Virginia. Heat index over 110 constantly here.

Courses like Portrush are an entirely different ball-game to US 'target golf' courses. Nice work Brodie, you toughed it out.
Yay. New vid!
Hope I see you at it

playing in the rain is awesome i play so well in it
was it like cold cold, or cold cause you're just used to playing in the heat? i consider the 30s and below cold. everything else, not so much lol
Wet and wind makes 50s pretty cold
idk if anyone really enjoys it but when I played in High School and it was raining most people got extremely bothered by it and shot like 5 strokes worse than their avg and if you can just get over the uncomfortableness you can really take advantage of the soft conditions especially when super quick greens get slowed down from it.
