You this aircraft was the final 747 ever made - a 747-8F registered N863GT! As the last 747 to be made by Boeing, the aircraft features a decal of Joe Sutter, the designer of the 747, on the front, right side and the words "forever incredible". Wowzers iconic & historic.
Love the 747-8! More engine shots please. I worked on those GEnx for over a decade. I have a picture with the last built 747 at the Everett factory day before delivery too. I’m so glad she found her way to you and hope that you are enjoying flying the queen
Thanks for letting us tag along, Esther. NGL, seeing you on board N863GT was really cool. It was the missed opportunity to wear the legendary, “I fly rubber dog sh*t out of Hong Kong,” tee shirt 🙃. Although there is an Australian company that makes “The Rubber Dogsh*t Transport Co. Hong Kong,” tee. Any chance to include some flying videos? The Octopus Card is a great convenience for public transportation, vending machines, etc. You can get one at any MTR station, including the one at VHHH. You can also top it off at any 7-Eleven in Hong Kong. I don’t know if Harbour City is the cheapest place to find your mom’s bag, I would’ve thought Mongkok would be the place for bargains… 😅
You are living the dream! When I got my pilot license in my own Beech back in 1995 when gas was cheap! I wish I had continued with commercial and multi ratings! The 747 is my favorite!! Congrats! 🎉
wow, that dash 8 looked absolutely pristine, and the crew area was much nicer than i expected. but i guess the next vlog should be from the stairstepper at the gym so you can get up that ladder without being out of breath 😁
Another great video from a young female cargo pilot - so rare!! I wonder if you're able or allowed to film while taking off and landing and hear ATC chatter, like in many of the videos we see elsewhere. Would be so cool to see that coming from you!
Hi Esther! I recently found your channel. I am and always have been interested in aviation and follow some aviation TH-camrs like pilots and flight attendants. I of course follor your colleague @74gear too! My wife is Asian and I have been to her home country a lot but not to many other Asian countries. I like your videos, and @74gears showing the far east. Korea seems like a very interesting country to visit as is Japan. My work rarely fly me anywhere now. Except to Norway where our main office is. I live in sweden 🇸🇪 btw. Anyway. I had a look at your videos and what strikes me as particularly interesting is your seemingly very fast jump from ”the regionals” to flying the 747! Amazing progress! Also your employer seem very TH-cam friendly allowing you to vlog parts of your duties too to the joy of the aviation geeks like me 😊 and others. I hope you keep the videos coming, at a convenient pace for you. Love to see more of your future adventures as a pilot. My aviation ambitions stopped at driving the airport coach 😂. But now I’m in IT consulting.
Does your JepFDpro allow you to program in your taxi routes so you have it mapped out? or do you just highlight your route when assigned by ground? Just curious haha. I wish we could program them at my airline.
Obviously, it worked out great that you were free and could get to Hong Kong promptly. Is it hard to get open time at your company? If someone is low on the seniority list is it harder…or is there plenty to go around?
I fly bug smashers in socal for fun. You're flying to all the same places I go to all the time for my ecomerce sourcing, I bet a lot of my cargo ends up in your airplanes!!
Love the tour of the airplane cockpit! I've always wanted to take a look inside the place where the pilots do the hard work. Consider packing a utensil set into your bag! That way you will never have to worry about not being able to showcase your Asian chopstick power~ 😆
Love your videos Esther...... Do you ever get to bid for the other side of the pond? ie: Europe or Africa Middle East. Also, I always wanted to ask but, it looks like you don't have a Load Master on your flights. So who double checks the cargo after its loaded? As a retired Air Force C17 LM I would think after the 747 incident in Afghanistan years ago a LM would on all cargo flights.
4:40 think of this I have to climb up 5 flights of stairs to get to class everyday! Also ur so inspirational!! This is my dream and as a girl you have inspired me even more to train to be a pilot
Great video keep going please if you can mention how we can finance flight school and what is the short way to get more hour to be pilot specially for my age is 44 and what you think about this age it’s never late. I will be more competitor
Hi Esther. I ❤ your channel😀. Do you fly to Honolulu, Hawaii? I see the Atlas Air planes there. Take care and be safe. I look forward to seeing more vids on your channel.
@@estherinclouds lol …. My comment was a troll comment totally on purpose …. My point is put some take off & landings in your videos … I know people love to watch that as well 🙂

Such a gift being able to see the world through your eyes. Thank you!
love the mix of in -flight and in-transit footage. Don't know how you both hold down an aviation career and make such great vids. Please keep it up!

Greetings from Hong Kong! I am glad that you seemed to have enjoyed the layover!
How many hours on the 747-8 do you have now? And how often are simulator check rides in Atlas? Do you get allowances while on layovers?
Im not sure tbh.. i need to add up my hrs🥲 and yes we get per diem!
Does your JepFDpro allow you to program in your taxi routes so you have it mapped out? or do you just highlight your route when assigned by ground? Just curious haha. I wish we could program them at my airline.
Noo i highlight it haha! On the moving map we can select our parking gate & runway

Hello from Florida. How do you handle the sleeping patterns with all the time changes, as well as the jet lag?
i like this question! Gonna add it to my qna(:
I think Boeing made The final 747 was a 747-8F freighter with the registration number N863GT to Atlas Air in 2023!
First! Finally!
Yay welcome😊
Thanks for sharing this vlog tour
Thanks for visiting!

8 mins is too short. And maybe content ideas - how you got through 747-8 type training and what kind of things you had to endure in the flight sim?
would love for you to talk about and nerd out on aviation more in ur vids, as an avgeek😄🙃😂

I just commented a few days on your IG if you’ve ever flown the last 747 that was made! This video answered my question. 😂

It is building your nest not box. Or some refer to building your home.
