We've got a long wait for this one, so let's make it a fun party for this amazing young man who has already made such a big impact in such a short amount of time. He's going to do many more amazing things for this world before he's through, but he's one of those people with such a deep passion that he never really stops teaching and making learning exciting. So snacks and drinks are over there and blankets, pillows and sleeping pads are in this area. Make yourselves comfortable. There will be a bonfire out back every evening. For the longest time, especially growing up under a military regime, I'd been conditioned into believing that history and human culture are about the march of civilization and national pride, and how to "better" ourselves. Thanks for showing us viewers it can be about understanding different people in their own context and sharing our human experiences across space and time.

Milo Rossi, as a 64 yr old who, though I feel woefully undereducated, (the more you learn, the more you find how much there is to learn!), this is fantastic! I read Bambi, (the real one)my first book, at 4 and Black Beauty, after. So, I've read a lot! This sort of reminds me of how James Mitchner wrote, yet nonfiction. I've always felt that our species, so young, is, as you say, much the same as in 'ancient ' times. It seems that we hear of a speech on equality, how bad the new generation is, other ideas, and find they're from a couple thousand years ago! Of course we progress, but mostly only when we're not just trying to survive. So it seems slow. I can't wait for this book. But, I wanna own a real copy! 👍😊💝💙🥰✌

Yeah, he's the new drug. The side effects are learning new things and not believing in BS "archeology ". The FDA* nods it's head in approval. (*fu(king dominating archeology) lol

The White Sands portion has a personal connection with me - I was born in Socorro, New Mexico, back in the 60s.
I had not intended on watching the whole video when I realized what it was, but your manner sucked me in. Your narration is excellent; no hesitations or difficulty in enunciation, and the words flowed. As a long haul trucker, I found audiobooks on cassette some 30 years ago, and love them - I'd definitely listen to you narrate the book!
I have long said (going back into the 70s!) that the Ancients had a LOT more smarts than most give them credit for - I do enjoy that you point this out on a regular basis.

A very nice turn of phrase. Succinct and engrossing. A great way to start your book

I just got the book and I’m loving it. Of course, I’m a dad and you started with kids, a cheap shot to the feels.

I do not read physical books often. But I do listen to audiobooks and podcasts while mowing, running, biking, driving, etc.
I would absolutely buy your audio book.

I can't wait for my book to arrive. Many of my favorite youtubers have written books, but yours was the first one that I had to pre-order as soon as it was announced

I love audio books. It's my preferred method. So while I intend to buy your book I'll likely also buy the audio book when it comes out. I am dyslexic and my reading speed is very slow. Especially with books that have words I don't encounter very often. So audio books make things far easier, and cuts the time I take to read a book down from the week or more that it would take me to get through a book in the traditional way down to a day or two or even hours if it is something that can hold my attention long enough to get through it in one sitting. So I am really happy to hear you are already planning for an audio book.

    Got my copy TODAY!!!
    Got a second one for a friend's birthday. 😁
Reading this, I hear it in your voice.
    It's a great book!
Been thumbing through (had to work tonight... so quick skim was all I could do... until tomorrow)
    Congrats!
    Quite a great accomplishment.
And I am digging the illustrative passages, that put us in the scene.
    ❤️👍

I would LOVE an audio version. I much prefer to hear the words in author's own voice. Especially one with as much humor as you.

I constantly am reminded how great with words you are. It makes so glad you’re more principled/educated than the people you debunk, though I’m somewhat lead to believe you’re great with words *because* you’re so passionate.

I love this channel. It has reinvigorated me to start learning history, geology and Arcology again. That and all the traveling you do on this channel and your personal channel have got me into a nomadic rut ha.
