Why are half the comments saying “she wasn’t kicked off the team for being too tall” for starters, abby doesn’t even pick who is and isn’t chosen for the teams. For all we know, she COULD have been cut for her height, but even if she wasn’t, just keep in mind that abby rudely said “Ava come stand next to Chloe” “you’re too tall for us today Ava, you’re cut” so even if that wasn’t the reason she was cut, she heard one of her teachers say that. Abby says cruel things to these poor, innocent children and it leaves a mark on them.

She was still a child back then and not fully know the affect of her mother and producers on her being on the team. Oh my word, all the comments going on about her mum being a 'stalker'. You do realise you were watching a REALITY TV PROGRAMME? The things that happened in the show were scripted a lot of the time. Ava's mum was likely portrayed in a certain way to cause drama... there are completely different things happening behind the scenes than what we see. For all we know, the height situation could have been much more prevalent, but wasn't as exciting so the producers twisted the storyline. So honestly, pipe down because you don't know the real reason behind why Ava was kicked off dance moms, you just know what the producers want you to think.

Awwww so sad!!! I felt like this too! I'm 5'6 and have really long legs. A competitive gymnastics team wouldn't let me join because "i was too old!" I was only 14 at the time, and had all the skills too! They said I would have to be i level 5, wile I was more like a 3-4. Age and height sucks!

I’m late but she wasn’t kicked off due to her height. Abby just made it up on the spot so her mother would understand that they were no longer on her team. Ava was kicked off due to her mom. If you go watch dance moms in season four you’ll see this. But in all honesty I respect her so much for putting up with teasing and bullying for so long at so young.

this is so heart warming. i am currently 13 right now and i’m exactly 5.10 yes i am tall but you know.. who gives a crap ur beautiful either way sometimes it’s hard finding guys and finding jeans and finding friends or even finding urself but already at age 13 i have come to realize that i love my legs my body and who i am and not only love it i’m proud. this doesn’t just go out to the tall girls and boys it goes out to people who are insecure about anything even maybe if u think ur too short it doesn’t matter ur perfect

The aversge height for an adult woman is 5'4". She's 13 and is already 5'10". She IS abnormally tall for her age and by the time she is an adult will probably be over 6 foot which is rarer for women. She is very tall ans it is abnormal but that doesnt make her height bad or something to be ashamed of. Her being so tall alsp explains why she appears so skinny. Because of how much exercise she does with dance she has a splendor figure but because of her height and the way fat and muscle distribute over her body she appears extremely thin. She's a beautiful girl and a lovely dancer. She's gonna go far in life :)
