Guys for anyone who wants to ride this it’s so fun and not scary trust me!! I was DED crying in the line because my brother was making me go on with him but after i went on I was so happy it was so much fun and not scary like in the slightest!!
I had a massive panic attack in the line in 2016, because I hated roller coasters at the time. Went back last year and it was closed for Reno’s and I was heartbroken
Just imagine the difference it would make to the ride if they simply made the first drop steeper and did some re profiling like Six Flags did on Blue Hawk. This coaster was designed specifically for LPS and therefore the elements interacted with the rock face in a certain way, and the inversions were out of the blue hidden behind. It just never made sense without any theming like this as the coaster itself is extremely boring (and rough).
It was kind of a steal for Dreamworld once it was removed from Luna Park, I think they mainly just see it as a stopgap ride and they did the repaint and re-theme to breath a bit of life into it without having to spend much money. It's 26 years old now so I doubt they consider it to be worth the upgrades as even just small changes would be expensive and wouldn't do much considering the way the track was originally designed. It would probably be better to replace it, then it would be to change it, and since they just got the new coaster they'll be out of money for a while. They probably just plan on leaving it there until it starts to fall apart, then they'll get something new.

It doesn't really matter, just a curiosity now. Your post makes sense re dreamworld. Still, a small investment could make it a lot better. The first drop has no airtime. At all. Arrow loopers have sick airtime in the back on the first drop, usually. I think it's the most gentle drop of any of their coasters ever made and I still am surprised they profiled it that way. Thankfully steel taipain has some airtime :)
It’s kinda weird how 2 new rides opened the same day (I know the gold coaster isn’t technically a new ride but everything except the layout of the queue and the ride itself is different so I technically consider it a new ride
Idk, I wouldn't count it as an entirely new ride, it is just the 4th retheming of Big Dipper 2. As to why it was opened on the same day, it was likely so Dreamworld could try and undermine Vortex's opening
Honestly I was really scared to go on it at first when I was going up I was pretty sure I was gonna die when I saw a loop but when I went on it was really fun messes up your insides tho😅

yeah but its the oldest roller coaster on the Gold Coast plus the last arrow looper in Aus. it would not mater if it was 20 km if its made by arrow.
