I studied in Düsseldorf. One day, he came and presented his new book in front of the guitar Department of Düsseldorf. He was really shy and told us that he just took concepts of other schools like the Carlevaro school, Sagreras and so on. That was interesting to see..
Great interview! Thank you for sharing. I wonder if the host felt a bit disappointed that Mr. Kappel downplayed the importance of his method book and rejected the notion of financial security as a viable career goal for guitarists?
When people say things like, "if you're concerned about money then do something else," nobody follows up with, "so you don't use money to pay for groceries or a place to live?" and that really irks me.
@@K-Viz They weren't saying that musicians don't deserve money or a living. They were expressing that it can be very hard to make good money as a musician, so if your goal is to make money, then do something else. And if you're not obsessed with the guitar, then you may as well do something else because you have to have that level of commitment to make it anywhere as a guitarist.
Well it's not about making money, it's not about about financial security but all things considered you should be able to make a living with the guitar...
What a bad attitude towards sports. YOU LIVE A LONGER AND HEALTHIER AND JUST PLAIN BETTER LIFE if you exercise. For this reason alone everyone should do it. Exercise is NOT a waste of time it is the best "investment" in yourself you can do.

I have literally spent months reading reviews of his bible and the same day I finally order it I see this interview where he's saying the book is not good hahaha ☹️
@@sergiojaenlara2091 to be clear I'm talking about the religious book (not the book "The Guitar Bible") it's my opinion based on that I have read it (3 X) first as a boy, second as a young man in my 20s and finally later in my life, it's a terrible book full of bad ideas, infinite number of contradictions, badly edited which is to be expected with so many writers with their own agendas etc. etc. etc. but I don't really want to go on and sequester this comment section, I can't be sure but it's mostly probable that Mr. Käppel used the name to reach a wider audience without thinking of the ideology behind the christian book
You could to listen to Jordan Peterson's biblical lectures then re-consider ur biblical opinion, maybe it changed..maybe it does not...cant hurt to try, worst case ur opinion does not change, best case ur opinion changes....

I got the slight impression that he did but I think Mr. Kappel is 100% right. That's why I still have a day job :)

True. Musicians need to make a living too.

Nice
Hi,how to get the classical guitar bible.I am very interesting with.

Ok, so neither the interview nor the video had absolutely nothing to do with the title of it, but what hell, I liked it anyways.

Don't worry, he didn't say that the bible is not good, he said that another method he published before the bible is not good. The bible is fine!

Awesome interview, too bad about the name of the book, the bible in my opinion is such a terrible book (from all angles)
Why?

No one cares... this is about music, specifically Classical guitar.
