I've ALWAYS loved this movie! As a matter of fact, I have a link to it because of Glinda's pink dress! I had an EXACT copy of it for my 8th grade graduation!
EVEN THOUGH I'M 43 YEARS OLD, THE WIZARD OF OZ, IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIE💗💗!!!!! I USED TO HAVE THE VHS, BUT I WATCHED IT SO MUCH, THE ACTUAL TAPE WRIPPED. SO BY THE TIME DVD'S CAME OUT I JUST BOUGHT ONE. (THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY DVD)
The wizard of oz is one of my favorite movies. Your discussion on the film was very interesting. I just hope they don't remake it. This movie is perfect on its own and doesn't need to be remade.
This is a very good follow-up of The Wizard of Oz and its sequels and prior inspirations as well as those latter-day inspirations as seen above but remaking the Wizard of Oz itself may not be a good idea for one thing a prior attempt that was talked about which was planned to have will smith as the cowardly Lion then it fell through. But maybe Wicked might work as a Movie Prequel since as a Broadway stage play it did.
Two errors at the end that no one seems to notice. When the Scarecrow gets his brain, he tries to quote the Pythagorean Theorum which solves Right Triangles, but refers to Isoceles Triangles - no such Theorum. When Dorothy is in the balloon and Toto jumps out, watch the Tin Man quickly untie the anchor rope.
@@Jameslochridge I remember that. I know The Simpsons made the joke about the error when Homer did the Scarecrow quote and the guy in the bathroom says “that’s a right triangle.” But yeah the Wizard of Oz does have error/goofs.
Why do people think that math works the same way in Oz as it does on our side of the Desert? That was no mistake. The Wizard told the Tin Woodman to untie the rope. Also not a mistake.
@@viviennemorgan7217 yeah and I totally forgot in the video about that the slippers changed from silver in the books to Ruby in the movie. But I think it’s pretty obvious.
You're gonna come in here to this celebration of THIS VERSION OF THE STORY and talk about a different one? Besides, the original version was a three-reeler made in 1910.

Fun Fact: When the Wizard of Oz was first given a rating, it got a G, but when they made it into 3D it got re-rated into a PG.
@@jrr2480 I did see that. Weird that it got a PG rating in 3D.
WHERE CAN I FIND A 3D VERSION?? DO I HAVE TO ORDER IT ONLINE??

Take the red brick road
That isn't what Dorothy was told to do.
They actually have more than one red brick road in Jamestown New York. New York State I mean. I know this because I have relatives that live there.

An injury is not a tragedy. People have been burned far worse than Miss Hamilton and lived on. A tragedy is when someone dies.
