The government prosecutor did LITTLE in getting the verdict. It was the private lawyer, doctors and families of the victim that did all the hardwork in getting the long awaited justice for the bonifacio father and son. I have observed that when an ordinary civilian kills the verdict would be murder but if it is a police officer killing a civilian, it would just be ruled as homicide. It is ridiculous. The verdict for killing kian is also homicide and other innocent civilian killed by policemen are considered homicide even if the case is strong againts the police officer who is the perpetuator. There have only been eight policemen convicted in relation to Duterte’s drug war: three for Delos Santos, one for Arnaiz and De Guzman (the other cop died during the trial), and four for the Bonifacios.
