- The 2021 Kia Stonic is the brand's smallest addition to its model lineup in the Philippines. As a subcompact crossover, it brings with it good ground clearance as well as a well-sculpted exterior that doesn't come up short when it comes to style. It also comes with an attractive price point of P925,000 for its EX AT trim and comes equipped with a 1.4-liter gasoline engine, that produces 98hp and 132 Nm of torque giving it power when you need it.

I'm starting to learn how to drive, di sya mahirap gamitin for a newbie. Sakto lang samin na family of 4. Di masikip sa loob. Ganda inside & out.
@@Uncle_Drew0227 Di ka din magwoworry sa humps coz mataas ground clearance nya. Malaki din ang trunk, madaming malalagay. Makina powerful din. We did full the trunk with PET bottled drinks para sa store, di nmn nahirapan makina.
Wala pakong makita na Cons, except sa need ng ilaw sa 2nd row. We bought a magnetic rechargeble lamp na lang.

Raize has only 88ish hp while stonic has 94hp

The Kia KX1 had originally been produced for the Chinese market by Dongfeng Yueda Kia, but was exported to Philippines under the Kia Stonic name as of October 2020. Compared to the international model, the China and Philippines spinoff is marginally shorter, with a full body length of 4,100 mm instead of 4,140 mm, and round fog lamps instead of boomerang-shaped LED lights.
Best bang for the buck. I think you get a lot more than let’s say, a 1.3 Vios. The stability at highway speeds surprised me and the engine is competent. I WISH they offered the 1.0 Turbo but I guess that would affect the price point. Real happy to have gotten this last December.

Good review on this new one. I was wondering which one was better: Kia Stonic, Hyundai i20 or Mazda 2? As someone who would have to take the bros almost every day to practice around the city and travel out of the region for sport matches 3 times a month, I'm kinda torn on which one to get, as a first car, too. I'd like to experience Mazda's great driving but is it even worth the higher price (talking about the Exceed model), also I can already tell the Mazda won't be as practical as the other 2. 😨

I agree, the higher models have super cold aircon, but for the one I got which is the MT, I don’t think I can say the same 😅 Nonetheless, super happy with my Stonic!

Hello totoo po ba ung issue sa mga MT wherein may tendency na tumigas dahil sa design flaw and gawa raw sa plastic ung clutch master push rod and secondary piston?

Thankyou for this, sir Caco! We just got the LX MT, since the Stonic is the only one that has a Manual among its "competitors". So far, so good. My tita really wants the bright Yellow color, but sis does not want to drive an Automatic car.
Paps, what color did you get? How's the AC in traffic? And also the console on the gear shift, does it move? I saw from a UK review not a bit stable
@@richellitolindo1595 we got the Blue one which is out of the plan ng tita ko since gusto nya yung Yellow na hindi offered sa LX MT. Ok naman yung aircon nya sa traffic, malamig kahit hindi naka number 2 yung fan. I haven't been able to drive it dahil *"ayaw nya ipahiram dahil 22 days pa lang akong licensed driver"*
Yung sa console nya, hindi naman sya nagmomove. Ok naman. Baka manufacturing defect yun ng mga UK Spec na Stonic siguro.

just saw this at the parking lot at my office and I thought it looked like my favorite car (hopefully I get to buy one someday) the Subaru XV. Since I'll be eyeing this one for now since I don't think my budget could get me the XV.

Planning to replace our Honda Mobilio 2016 early next year with another crossover/mpv/compact suv. I'm leaning more on Japanese and Western cars (Ford, Chevy, VW). But I find Stonic and Seltos pretty appealing. Growing up, I remember Kia for its bad reputation. And recently, my friends had problem with their Hyundai cars. That's why I'm trying to avoid Korean cars in general. Has Kia been reliable lately? Are they anywhere close to Honda and Toyota in terms of reliability?
Really good question to ask which is still relevant today. What did you eventually buy? Also looking at the Stonic but the bad rep Kia gets is still hanging over my head.
