I just came here to find some peace. We had a Portuguese water dog, also named Stella, that we unfortunately had to say goodbye to Friday 15th of March, two days ago from now. She had a very severe and painful fracture in her front leg that also involved a nerve, having jumped from a snow-hill. But x-ray also revealed she had osteoporosis. She was only 7, but I am forever thankful for all of the fond memories that we got to share with her. I sat with her, petting her on the head as she slowly drifted away and went to Heaven. Free from all the pain. Love and miss you Stella 🐶♥️
We gave our Stella an extra big treat in honor of your dog today. So sorry to hear of her passing. All porties are great dogs, but there is something extra special about a portie named Stella.
My dog Cora whos also a Portugeuse Water Dog just passed away she was such a sweet precious girl we had her since she was a baby she passed at 11. She was having seizures left and right and focal seizures alot of tremors too. She was crying in pain for her final days when we finally had to put her to rest. This is the saddest day of my life.
my pwd finny makes a lot of the same noises, when he was a puppy we initially thought he was growling but we saw the tail wagging, eventually figured out what it meant
Hahah this is our girl as well. Always talking and running around with that same baby in her mouth, except hers is white. Love it, great dogs very Velcro !!

They are such amazing and intelligent dogs. I know what my Portie is saying by his vocals!

Ours was very quiet... but we loved it when she would use her voice.

Very cute, my daughter's PWD Monty doesn't (yet) bark at all and she also makes all kinds of noises but not nearly so much as Stella!!
