That Olympics promo at 10:09 is an example of the kind of style of sports coverage that inspired the animated film "Animalympics" in 1980.

Nice! I notice that there is a difference between your recording of this and mine: The Sandy Duncan Wheat Thins ad must have been a West Coast ad only! Quick question: My recording that night beginning during the opening credits of Is this Goodbye, Charlie Brown and cuts off as the end credits of How Bugs Bunny Won the West Began... Does your copy have the full beginning of Charlie Brown? If so and you would be interested in trading for something I have, just holler! Would love to finally have the absolute complete recordings of both specials from that night. :)

What don't you ever see Ronald McDonald anymore? Why did McDonald's discontinue him?

Didn’t realize they ever stopped featuring him; but then again I don’t really watch broadcast TV anymore. Maybe it’s because clowns in general have become less popular, or have been taken over by the evil clown trope in pop culture. I found this on Wikipedia “Critics claimed that a clown mascot targeting children for fast food is unethical. A group of 550 doctors and other health professionals took out newspaper ads in 2011, saying that Ronald McDonald should be retired.
Ronald McDonald made fewer appearances in 2016 due to the 2016 clown sightings. However, he now continues to appear at live events, and on social media.”

I think Mac Donald’s wanted to start targeting adults instead of kids. All the restaurants changed their interior too. No more play place and adult decorating now.
