i love that this was done after the hike. its a realistic representation of what to expect your gear to look like after 100s of miles. and the smells. so many smells.
so. many. smells
Mlllp 😊
I have joined the cult of walking and you are my guru
Gather round, my child.
aw, this was such a delight :') you're the best junior wilderness explorer ✨✨
🥹🥹🥹 ya sweetie
I am fresh off the PCT and haven't opened my pack since I've been home. I am very scared to unleash the toxins!
Breathing apparatus required.
Throw it all straight in the wash cold then air dry then smell it
Hahaha same! I just finished the hexatrek and just cannot get myself to open my pack 😅
I really appreciate how you are trying to have different/ unusual approach in every video you make and not just following good old beaten path. This was really nice gear video 😄
... Nice loadout .... Now to see the video's .... Definitely one of the best creators out there ... now time to do the laundry and set plans for the next adventure .....Stay Safe ...
Wonderful !! Another tasty hor d’ourve. While the long form is both satisfying and nutritious, these little vignettes are just what my taste buds need. Happiness !!🦋
Hella love your content. 😂 it inspires me to get out in the wilderness. Thanks.
Awesome 🎉
When it comes to sleeping pads I would recommend to switch to a Nemo sleeping pad. Almost exactly the same weight as Therm-a-Rest but alot better to sleep on.
I just finished the PCT (thank you for all the inspiration), and I also carried the UBERLIGHT for 1800 miles. But Switched in Cascade locks (I did it NoBo). Go with Nemo equipment pads next time. They are relising there new line up of pads soon.
(Also had a different pad in the Sierra with all the snow this year)
Nice realistic gear video. Loved it!
Great ass video, and I really liked what you said about having the 'physical notebook.' All in all, lots of good tips.
You always make very intelligent videos. They're fun. Thanks.
I love that you are so real. Thank you
who does not love a gear video!
Looking forward to more information on when and where for the Hayduke video.
This woman is good at making videos - loved it!
Gooood evening from central Florida! Hope everyone has a great night! Love your content... greatly appreciated!
Love the lightness and humour in this video!💚
hey legend!! fellow kiwi :) just found your stuff and LOVE it!! i'm off travelling next month... really inspired to document everything too!! thank youuuu
I'm glad you enjoyed my homeland!
Dang magical
Woo, a gear video! Those Alpha direct hoodies really are magic, I love mine.
Wow I'm impressed, I've scoured the earth for the lightest possible camera setup and here you've got the same tripod. You can actually save a bit of weight by switching out the ball head for neewer brand one. I'm using the 24-105mm but that 20-70 is a nice comprise on both weight 488g vs 729g and the focal length.
I had an arc ultra too and it broke (the frame kinda ate into the material) and Zpacks shipped me a new one on the PCT - turns out they now have new lining on the inside to make it stronger and more waterproof!
Looking sooo Beautiful 💗😘
What a great video-you are so talented! I love your humor and candidness and all the detail. This video has already convinced me to do the Arizona Trail and I'm not a fan of the heat. And oh my, the cost of all that Zpacks gear. Guess I'll just have to make do with what I have!
Always best to make do with the gear you have!
Great job Elina Respect
amazing video! thanks for sharing!
Here we are go 👍🤘
Really great information on your gear, thank you!
She’s back and decimating her sister’s washing machine!🎉
3:40 Soooo few people know this, but Arabic coffe is basically instant coffee made from fresh grounds! Just dump coffee in hot water, stir, and wait a few minutes for the grounds to sink. It's a finer ground than espresso wich makes the coffee just sink to the bottom. Ask your coffee shop for arabic/turkish coffee and they'll know what to do, in the grocery store a quality espresso ground will do the trick as well.
Wowow of course! Will be trialling.
+1 on the Jolly Ranchers haha. My mate bought a kilo bag back from the US for me and it's already almost done... Just gotta keep em dry on trail! :)
Time between your videos is too lonng
Cool stuff!
I literally thought that bag was a rock!
Those dang elvish cloaks
@ElinaOsborne What container do you use for peanut butter? Great video... as usual.
You heard mixed reviews of the pack, and then experienced exactly the reason for those mixed reviews.
Did you have any items that you ended up ditching because it was either too heavy and or ended up unnecessary? Love your videos❤
Great video! Thank you)
Great vid, did the Hokas last for the whole hike?
I replaced once!
@@ElinaOsborne Thx, I think I'll go for the Anacapa Breeze Low then, hope they will last for my 800km Camino
Elina I'm coming to NZ soon and I have a week to get from Wellington to Dunedin. Got any suggestions to make my trip fun ?
Can’t seem to find heyo designs fleece anywhere…. Does it not exist?
I;m looking for a fleece just like the one you showed from Heyo but when I go to their site they have no products and see that you didn’t link it above. Any recommendations on where to find? Thanks for the video.
LOVE
💙
Hi Elina - hey on PCT do you recall how you did your cellphone plan ? I’m guessing you used your cell for txt etc on trail. Also inreach or the kiwi PLB - thanks so much !
hey mate, I purchased a sim while I was there! AT&T I think. I actually didn't have an inreach at that point, but if I were to do it again, I'd have the inreach mini :)
Thank you !
I wonder if you can use (or already tried?) contact lenses that you can wear day and night? I use them for almost 20 years now (fresh ones every month) and I sometimes even forget that I am wearing lenses at all...the brand I use is called Air Optix Night&Day and I went hiking/canyoning/swimming/skiing with them. I lost one once in a water park, but no problems other than that :)
What brand is the cup? Looks like a useful size and I like the lid :)
I would love to know this too:)
Me too!
You da artist 📷 hiker barbie 🎉
❤❤❤❤ from 🇦🇺
Hey Elina, I really enjoyed your video :) One question: Did you like your hikerkind outfit? Is it worth the prize? :))
Just bought my arc haul ultra. What do you mean by distribute the weight to the side?
Also I’m so glad I came across your channel your videos are awesome
You can get additional straps/buckles so you can clasp the top to the sides, distributing to both sides instead of the front!
Maybe a dumb question, is there going to be a video of this hike somewhere?
Not silly! We’re in the process of this all. Somewhere, someday! I’ll share here when anything is coming 🌞
Did you get milkshakes in Hanksville????
Stan is a milkshake maestro.
Nice Video. Did you weigh your pack by chance?
Never on this trail! Sometimes ignorance is bliss 🙃
What kind of orange cup is that?
I’m wondering the same thing
I think it's a GSI Gourmet Nesting Mug + Bowl
It is the GSI Gourmet Nesting Mug + Bowl!
Hi Elina, What became of the Macpac pack you had on the TA?
I'm a backpack hoarder who likes to have options 👀. In the collection still! Also on rotation with friends who need gear.
The size of your food bag... hilarious!
Wokwok is the way to go...walking i mean!!
Kinda snobbish at times but excellent.
Oh! One thing annoying… the big captions hide the objects you try to show.
Great to see you again!😊
Wow.... YOU are defiantly the female-hiker-version (Video-Editor-Style) of Casey Neistat. 🤣👏
