Lemme help you to get the answer. It's simply because most of their listeners are hardcore listeners, and I think Citizen is a band that grew up in hardcore community (cmiiw) ✌🏻

@@amargth yes hardcore but one doesn't need to do hardcore slam when the tune doesn't sound hardcore enough, it's like dancing in rave party with country music bcos the dj use to be into rave 😅 Anyway so long as they enjoying it why not 🤘✌️

I'm fine with crowdsurfing on most of Citizen songs, the new or the old ones... and I believe most Citizen listeners who come from HC community are also fine with it xD
