Seriously this Lady has an amazing mighty voice that I could listen to for hours and the lyrics hit hard and probably do with a lot of people right now.
I have watched Mary sing this song 100s of times with so much passion. And watching you sing it, carrying that same passion was amazing. Your voice brought out such a strong meaning with this song, in a time when the world needs it. Going in my favs folder to watch over and over.
What an incredibly powerful cover of this song. I can't tell you how many times I've watched and re-watched this, and it always brings a tear to my eye. It's clear that you were almost overcome by emotion at several points during the song, as well. As much as I like Mary Gauthier's original version, this is your song now. You own it. Every other cover has to be measured against this one, and I daresay that every other cover is going to fall short in comparison.

Once again, this song is well written and crafted by Mary Gaulthier but, Elles Bailey sings this far better and is what made me fall in love with her voice. I just hope that she sings this in Cardiff when I eventually get to see her live ❤️

I made a Spotify playlist of all of my personal favorites of yours that are available on Spotify, after listening to every song you have provided there (Mercy Now not among them :-( ). That playlist numbers 28 songs. I played the entire list to my girlfriend last night, and she absolutely loved it, which of course did not surprise me one little bit. But it was her comment that I just had to share with you: "Wow, she is way better than Bonnie Raitt!" was her response to hearing your version of Angel From Montgomery. I of course agree with that assesment wholeheartedly. If that's not high praise, I don't know what is! xo
