At the JEM, a large shopping mall in Jurong East, we saw the High Pole Lion Dance event, which had outstanding realistic movement. It was captured in a wonderful video footage! A hot story was born as people and the performers of the Lion Dance seemed to be co-starring, creating an amicable harmony. I am impressed by the sound quality of DJI pocket3. I use Feiyu pocket2. For such mass event, 3axis picket camera loses some advantage for not being able to squeeze around the performers and crowd. But, the use of selfie stick still makes it ‘stand tall’ among the crowd pointing randomly. High pole lion dance is perhaps the pride of Spore/Msia Chinese. The youngster are really dedicated to this cultural art. All other ethnic Chinese regions, HK, Taiwan and China, are really not care less.
Pocket 3 performs very well and I am happy with it. High Pole dragon dance is very popular in Singapore. Standards are getting higher. Difficult stunts are becoming normal stunts as more people master them.
This weekend may be your final chance to film lion and dragon dances during this cny. Staying at 1 spot to film is easy, moving around to film at more angles is a challenge. Want to try filming these? Haha.
