But, I think they should have flashbacks of Kylie, telling David that she loves him and that he was the best husband she could've asked for. That could make David feel better and stop him from being self - destructive.

Istg - counselling with David would be dramatic to say the least. Richard tried to kill him and his family, David has been to prison, he has thought about killing himself and almost done it, his wife was murdered and now he has been raped.
