David Attenborough narrates the intimate story of a leopard mother and her two cubs. This family must survive in the wilds of Botswana alongside some less-than-friendly neighbours: lions, wild dogs and hyenas. The competition for food is tough, and if they are going to make it they must learn a new skill - they must learn to fish.

This shows just how strong Leopards are. Those catfish are aprox 3ft long and thick. If you tried holding a catfish that big you would know how powerful they can shake. The leopards are totally unfazed by this! You can see that their head and neck don't even move as the leopard casually walks away while the giant catfish shakes in an effort to get away. I guess watching them carry a full grown Antelope up a tree (different video) is a bit more impressive though . I can barely get myself up a tree!! LOL.. Thanks.. :)

My grandpa used to cut the tip of his finger with a knife and stick it in the river where the catfish were basking. The catfish would be attracted to the smell so they’d come up and bite my grandpas finger, and then he’d use his bare hands to grab the catfish and carry it away. It was so badass!

Well my friends, Evolution is a continuous & slow process (some scientists say it is saltatory also). We can't see it within few days. Evolution means the act of unfolding or unrolling. Simply, it is an orderly 'Change'. Leopards generally don't hunt in water but in this case they are doing. They are adapting & if this adaptation (either be in body structure or in the behaviour) is restored and passes to their offsprings through gametes, there could be a new species or subspecies which will share similarities with other cats to varying degrees ( As we see in Darwin's finches, Australian marsupials etc. i.e. Adaptive radiation - a process of evolution)

    • @sarban1653

Adaption is a mechanism of evolution. İf this skill repressed by environmental factors, it'll be adaptation. And, maybe there is a God, maybe there are gods or there is no god; it doesn't matter for evolution. Evolution is exist.

A new survival behavior is invented/discovered and then passed on through the generations and very slowly over time that group begins to develop physical characteristics to better employ that behavior. Who knows, in thousands of years leopards could be.... probably extinct.

First, they aren’t all that bright. Second, these catfish are feeding on insects and other bugs in the grass and near the shore, which keeps them distracted.
Last of all, the catfish are in a big school, which means that an individual fish’s odds of being caught by the leopards are actually rather small-and they instinctively know it.

The most beautiful of all the big cats imo. One of God's most aesthetically pleasing creations. Also a marvelous hunter, as showcased in this video. Everybody is welcome to their own opinion but I think it's fairly obvious something of such beauty and such an expert hunter was created by design. Thank you to BBC for documenting all these wonderful specimens for us to enjoy. God bless.

in animal kingdom the herbivore eats grass, carnivores eat herbivore which is made of meat, and omnivore eats both.
correct me if I'm wrong. I think we, human carnivores should eat vegans.
