I'm loving these videos. The obedience and bond between Schutzhund trainers and their dogs is phenomenal and I want that for my dog and I.

Wow!!!!! I cannot, and "Z" can't either thank you enough. I love this guy very much. After this clip we went out and played. I laid on the ground and he played with me like he does other doge....growling, nipping, we played. It was transformative. And...more importantly, as we progress with the clips you post it is only going to get better. I could tell on the way back from the park things changed. Thank you so much!!! TBC

Incredible! Thank you so much for this outstanding summary of general obedience for schutzhund! This is exactly what I was looking for, a blend of pointers on technique mixed with the essence of what "drives" or motivates our dogs. Your dedication is palpable and you really come across as genuinely committed to schutzhund! Thanks again~

Thank you for such a detailed presentation on training dogs.
I'm now old, and every dog that ended up being "my dog" has been left to me by family members who couldn't handle the dogs any more. (Well, 30-40 years ago, as a teen, I did get to pick a Norwegian Elkhound to run the ridges of NC with me.) My pit mix passed last week, and I've always had an eye for the Belgian Malinois. I'll study a bit before making any big decision, but your videos help me greatly. Thanks.

I just found your channel and i adore your methods, I hope to start in Schutzhund once I get my next puppy! For now, I'm working towards a BH and obedience titles with my little medium drive mutt. Your heeling videos have clicked so much into place and its a method that meshes well with her. Hoping to gain even more motivation in her and proof her heel. Thank you guys!!

You are so awesome! I am getting my 1st German Shepard in the next month or 2, I’m 61 yrs old and while I don’t think I’m spry enough to do shutzhund trials etc I can see how that training will be helpful for her to be my companion, I do plan on getting her training but is shutzhund the correct training for my puppy? I know all of my joints are declining with severe osteoarthritis so I am hoping she will also be able to watch out for me as well, I’ve never owned a GS in my life but I have owned an Australian Shepard she was the love of my life! I never had to take her to training she was doing EVERYTHING I taught her easily and fast, at 9 was old she was sitting staying and down, 10 weeks old she knew her left paw and her right paw she even pooped and peed on command, I’ve NEVER in her life have ever had to raise my voice to her so I am praying my NEW GS puppy will be as smart as her....Thank YOU so much for your videos I subscribed and will be watching as many as I possibly can!

You're right, use more force free but you're on point. Touching on the emotional aspect, psychology is catching up and studies are showing the benefits of dog training while testing mental illness.
My personal prediction, with the mental illness associated with social media addiction and other conditions dog training is going to be the best medicine because of the Cognitive Behavior Therapy aspect humans have to go through to properly train a dog or even a cat, rabbit, or even a frog lol

Question. Was there a reason when working with the bulldog and the dowel that you pulled the dowel back from him when he started to reach forward? Then you would let him take it. Hope I'm explaining so its understandable. Wish I'd had you guys when I started schutzhund. I'm a lurer/shaper person, reviews of these techniques is good for all levels of of trainers. Thanks!

Do we need to reward in position or even say good dog. Is it for us as we think we need to say this. Human emotions are what we are dealing with To be sure to be sure. My marker is also my release. Yes you're right not to reach for the food before your marker but marker dog runs to you get food out. Why don't you teach the backwards down from a stand separately from the sit. I did like most of this. What we teach today i may not next month or next week or even tomorrow.
