When btt, last breath and murder ask about the bored section, they literally ask you why are you not bored of doing the same thing, though the same can’t be said for error since he admits that the more he does it, the more confident he gets in doing it which contrasts with the othered knowing they are fighting a losing battle
2:58 God I really love this section. I cant stop thinking about it and what it could mean. At first I thought error was repeating how his encounter with underswap and underfell sans went. The blue and red colours point to this along with the tone of each. The blue section seems more upbeat and positive with a "let me be the one to help you" vibe to it, matching with underswap sans's personality whereas the red is more along the lines of "even when things are horrible and you've lost your way, it can just take one person to pull you out from that darkness." which happens to not only underfell sans, but everyone else in that AU thanks to their frisk showing them a better way. Then the last section is error talking to whatever sans he's facing and repeating the same speech that every other sans gives him and boiling it down to "you only say that I can change because you dont want to be erased. However, upon listening again, I found another interpretation that I find far more interesting. Instead, blue is aftertale's regular sans talking to geno, red is geno talking to error and black is error talking back to geno. Blue starts with sans questioning geno's plan of erasing their timeline ("Why are you killing? Why are you fighting?") and follows up by questioning why geno won't be honest with him. "Choose the right option. Its not too late yet." Is representing how they can still try sans's plan rather than erasure and the "let somebody in, stop stopping them when they're trying to find you" seems to be referencing geno's habit of erasing sans's mind any time he ends up questioning the plan. As for red, the whole first section section being identical to blue is a nice parallel. Sans is shocked that an alternate version of himself would want to erase their own timeline, and seems to be asking out of said shock more than anything; meanwhile geno has been in a similar position to error before, and so is asking with a more genuine curiosity as he feels as if he's in a position to just talk down error due to the fact he's been through this before. The second half is geno backing all of that up by essentially saying "look bud I've literally been through this; if I can change, so can you. You just need to let someone in.". Finally, the black section represents error speaking back to geno. If we assume that this encounter takes place as geno is watching the final pacifist run and getting his hope back that things can change (probably around the time geno has his chat with gaster), then this makes a lot of sense. Error dismisses all of geno's questions because he knows his issue is far beyond geno's. He knew geno wouldn't understand hence why he was "expecting less". Also the "from someone like you, whose lost all to lose yet still keeps your head up smiling." lies up pretty well with geno at this (assumed) point; he's trapped in the save screen with seemingly no way out, no way of knowing if sans will come back for him, but at least he knows that frisk went through with a pacifist timeline. That makes this section incredibly poetic in that its just error repeating conversations that he's had with multiple different versions of specifically himself at different stages of being himself. Conversations that start with the earliest versions of him. The starting point of error if you will. I know that my reasoning here isnt exactly perfect, but thematically its too good for me not to accept this. The lyrics here are absolutely phenomenal Kwesta. I think this is gonna be stuck on repeat in my head for a good while now
i think blue is undertale sans because of the video intro and its error destroying undertale sans because hes the core of all of the aus (the first au thing made was "Evil sans ((i think))" made by underfella as a joke which was underfell and they later made it a full au)
@waterawesome I don't think the sans we see here in the video is "undertale sans" or at the very least not the original one. Error blatantly calls this place "another AU" with "filthy trash code", so unless this is "generic undertale au 57" set in the same setting as undertale, we're dealing with a different sans here. Plus, error's whole thing is destroying AUs since he views them as mistakes. He doesn't go after undertale since that one is the original; it was supposed to exist. I'm not saying that blue can't be the original sans, its just that (at least for me) the reasoning doesn't quite add up. That's the cool thing about this part though; there's probably a thousand different ways to interpret who's saying what, meaning there's likely no definitive "correct" interpretation.
Also at 2:07 Error's dialogue makes me think that he is talking about ink probably because I saw underverse and thought of the deal that Error and Ink made
@lawrenceJimmy yeah I caught onto that, too. Though now that you mention it, the section about him and ink might actually start as early as 1:50, especially the line "in how you paint in fear?". The wording there seems far too specific for that to not be about ink.
Holy shit this is one pleasant surprise! Starting Point of Error has always been one of my favorite megalos and seeing a lyrical cover from you in my recommended is awesome! In terms of my favorite verses, I love the bit where the chorus is like "BE THEIR SCOURGE, YOU'LL BE THEIR RIGHTFUL BANE, DON'T WAIT FOR THE RAIN!" as well as your delivery on the "For the dawn of a new age!", which carries such a certain power to it thats really satisfying to hear. The reprise of the "Sure you're not bored" which has been present across most of your lyrical covers is also a very nice touch as well. Idk if it counts as a leitmotif for your covers but its the closest term I can think of. And with the twist Error puts on it, acknowledging the repetitive nature of his quest to eradicate all outliers from the multiverse. In fact, as I write this, I'm starting to realize the parallels that Error holds to the idea of the Player. The idea of him being the key to their freedom, and how that idea gets twisted on the *Geno* route. An Angel of Death, liberating their SOULs. Something that he hated a lifetime ago, when he was Geno, is what he himself has become on a larger scale. Just as the player is wracked with a perverted sentimentality as mentioned by Chara when you repeat the geno run several times, Error also holds a touch of that as well. His idealization of the original Undertale, of how the story was supposed to go, has lead to holding that world in an almost sacred regard, at the cost of everything that was inspired from it. Eradicating what he sees as pointless worlds, and moving onto the next. He will choose to liberate you all. Anyways tl;dr banger song and nice error characterization. I could've gone on longer but i dont wanna write a whole ass essay lol. Edit: the "walking amongst the deaf and lame, thinking that you aren't just the same" is also one of my fav lines too.

In terms of my little lyrics motif, yeah it has become something of a bad habit. I hear the first four notes of Megalovania and silently wonder if I should or shouldn't every time. Every time it has been a little different within the context: "sure you're not bored" is in BTT and Unending Frostbite (Dust), "we're never bored" is in NMD and "I'm sure I'm not bored" is here - the reasons for the variations aren't exactly rocket science lol. I think the idea of Errors ultimate motivation being to preserve the purity of "something we all hold dear" that being Undertale, rather compelling! Something I always kinda thought about, too... If Error somehow managed to accomplish his goal of destroying all aus and preventing the creation of new ones... Then surely his last act would be to erase himself right..? I imagine he always saw himself as one of the 'good anomalies' but still an anomaly, and when the time comes, he too would have to forefit his existence for the sake of the purity he strives for...
Yeah, I do think loverofpiggies stated that he would get rid of himself if he ever succeeded with his mission which immensely tragic and sort of cool in the way of showing how much he truly believes in what he spouts on about. Thank you for the comment!

Yet another video that I can say is AMAZING, I'm gonna keep this short since my last message I was typing got lost and I'm tired lol You're one of my favorite With Lyrics creators (if not my #1), since you have the most unique ways of approaching your covers, such as the way you transition from the lyrics following the instrumental to doing your own flow on the song. I've noticed some have problems switching between those two styles, originally when I first started I thought the style was silly until you showed me it can be really effective and possibly the BEST if done right! dude. this sounds SO GOD [[DANG]] awesome!!! error is one of my favorite aus, and is one of the first sanses i found out on this side of the fandom, and this does him SO MUCH. im just in complete awe at how good this is.
This has made me start to almost think of error and ink as mythological gods. Ink represents the almost childlike optimism of people who make AUs, like he IS creation. Error represents the toxic community that attacks these things, the kind of people that get projects cancelled. The embodiment of destruction. I know this isn’t perfect because AU creators do not often have that optimism now, but back when underswap was a new thing and almost every AU had some ask-blog, there were some.
I see Fresh is working his magic... (1:09) Error is one of my favorite Sans versions as there's so much to him. This song feels just like that and its amazing! Fantastic work :)

@@Kwestaloud I am a huge believer that the person's discarding our vessel similarity to Chara and the fact that our Undertale soul still belongs to Chara and chances are that this is the soul that was used for Deltarune as well are too big of Chekhov's guns to be not used by Toby to reintroduce Chara back into the narrative. I crave for more in-game Chara :)
This is fantastic! I love this new leaf the Undertale fandom has turned in the recent months. I really do wonder why this resurgence happened but regardless I'm happy it has. Also I love all the references you made in this song, it shows that you are a true fan that's been there from the good old days (don't get me wrong I love that people are still finding Undertale for the first time in 2024 too!). On top of that I just gotta add that the line "The only god here with you is me" is such a raw line!!!

I really like the moment in the cover when Error repeatedly thinks about his actions while addressing the same thought to his opponent. Knowing his trauma of loneliness, and how he has watched the suffering of other worlds without taking any action to save them, it's a very profound moment...

2:57 is my favorite part, the fact that he sounds so confused and misunderstood about himself when he starts questioning himself
2:58 God I really love this section. I cant stop thinking about it and what it could mean. At first I thought error was repeating how his encounter with underswap and underfell sans went. The blue and red colours point to this along with the tone of each. The blue section seems more upbeat and positive with a "let me be the one to help you" vibe to it, matching with underswap sans's personality whereas the red is more along the lines of "even when things are horrible and you've lost your way, it can just take one person to pull you out from that darkness." which happens to not only underfell sans, but everyone else in that AU thanks to their frisk showing them a better way. Then the last section is error talking to whatever sans he's facing and repeating the same speech that every other sans gives him and boiling it down to "you only say that I can change because you dont want to be erased.
However, upon listening again, I found another interpretation that I find far more interesting. Instead, blue is aftertale's regular sans talking to geno, red is geno talking to error and black is error talking back to geno. Blue starts with sans questioning geno's plan of erasing their timeline ("Why are you killing? Why are you fighting?") and follows up by questioning why geno won't be honest with him. "Choose the right option. Its not too late yet." Is representing how they can still try sans's plan rather than erasure and the "let somebody in, stop stopping them when they're trying to find you" seems to be referencing geno's habit of erasing sans's mind any time he ends up questioning the plan. As for red, the whole first section section being identical to blue is a nice parallel. Sans is shocked that an alternate version of himself would want to erase their own timeline, and seems to be asking out of said shock more than anything; meanwhile geno has been in a similar position to error before, and so is asking with a more genuine curiosity as he feels as if he's in a position to just talk down error due to the fact he's been through this before. The second half is geno backing all of that up by essentially saying "look bud I've literally been through this; if I can change, so can you. You just need to let someone in.". Finally, the black section represents error speaking back to geno. If we assume that this encounter takes place as geno is watching the final pacifist run and getting his hope back that things can change (probably around the time geno has his chat with gaster), then this makes a lot of sense. Error dismisses all of geno's questions because he knows his issue is far beyond geno's. He knew geno wouldn't understand hence why he was "expecting less". Also the "from someone like you, whose lost all to lose yet still keeps your head up smiling." lies up pretty well with geno at this (assumed) point; he's trapped in the save screen with seemingly no way out, no way of knowing if sans will come back for him, but at least he knows that frisk went through with a pacifist timeline. That makes this section incredibly poetic in that its just error repeating conversations that he's had with multiple different versions of specifically himself at different stages of being himself. Conversations that start with the earliest versions of him. The starting point of error if you will. I know that my reasoning here isnt exactly perfect, but thematically its too good for me not to accept this.
The lyrics here are absolutely phenomenal Kwesta. I think this is gonna be stuck on repeat in my head for a good while now
i think blue is undertale sans because of the video intro and its error destroying undertale sans because hes the core of all of the aus (the first au thing made was "Evil sans ((i think))" made by underfella as a joke which was underfell and they later made it a full au)
@waterawesome I don't think the sans we see here in the video is "undertale sans" or at the very least not the original one. Error blatantly calls this place "another AU" with "filthy trash code", so unless this is "generic undertale au 57" set in the same setting as undertale, we're dealing with a different sans here. Plus, error's whole thing is destroying AUs since he views them as mistakes. He doesn't go after undertale since that one is the original; it was supposed to exist. I'm not saying that blue can't be the original sans, its just that (at least for me) the reasoning doesn't quite add up.
That's the cool thing about this part though; there's probably a thousand different ways to interpret who's saying what, meaning there's likely no definitive "correct" interpretation.

Holy shit this is one pleasant surprise! Starting Point of Error has always been one of my favorite megalos and seeing a lyrical cover from you in my recommended is awesome! In terms of my favorite verses, I love the bit where the chorus is like "BE THEIR SCOURGE, YOU'LL BE THEIR RIGHTFUL BANE, DON'T WAIT FOR THE RAIN!" as well as your delivery on the "For the dawn of a new age!", which carries such a certain power to it thats really satisfying to hear.
The reprise of the "Sure you're not bored" which has been present across most of your lyrical covers is also a very nice touch as well. Idk if it counts as a leitmotif for your covers but its the closest term I can think of. And with the twist Error puts on it, acknowledging the repetitive nature of his quest to eradicate all outliers from the multiverse.
In fact, as I write this, I'm starting to realize the parallels that Error holds to the idea of the Player. The idea of him being the key to their freedom, and how that idea gets twisted on the *Geno* route. An Angel of Death, liberating their SOULs. Something that he hated a lifetime ago, when he was Geno, is what he himself has become on a larger scale. Just as the player is wracked with a perverted sentimentality as mentioned by Chara when you repeat the geno run several times, Error also holds a touch of that as well. His idealization of the original Undertale, of how the story was supposed to go, has lead to holding that world in an almost sacred regard, at the cost of everything that was inspired from it. Eradicating what he sees as pointless worlds, and moving onto the next.
He will choose to liberate you all.
Anyways tl;dr banger song and nice error characterization. I could've gone on longer but i dont wanna write a whole ass essay lol.

In terms of my little lyrics motif, yeah it has become something of a bad habit. I hear the first four notes of Megalovania and silently wonder if I should or shouldn't every time. Every time it has been a little different within the context: "sure you're not bored" is in BTT and Unending Frostbite (Dust), "we're never bored" is in NMD and "I'm sure I'm not bored" is here - the reasons for the variations aren't exactly rocket science lol.
Your insight on the Player/Error similarities is pretty cool too, and I hadn't made that connection at the time.

I think the idea of Errors ultimate motivation being to preserve the purity of "something we all hold dear" that being Undertale, rather compelling!
Something I always kinda thought about, too... If Error somehow managed to accomplish his goal of destroying all aus and preventing the creation of new ones... Then surely his last act would be to erase himself right..? I imagine he always saw himself as one of the 'good anomalies' but still an anomaly, and when the time comes, he too would have to forefit his existence for the sake of the purity he strives for...

this is a pretty good interpretation of Error, i think, very deep down, he does regret his actions, but has no choice other than being really angry at himself (literally in this case) and others, or just hiding himself behind a childish god complex, either because he physically can't or doesn't want to feel that way, but even if he wanted to stop, to change, he just can't bring himself to do so, cuz this is his nature, his only goal and satisfaction in life, so no matter what, there is never any room to pity him for anything he's done, and that's why i love Error

You're one of my favorite With Lyrics creators (if not my #1), since you have the most unique ways of approaching your covers, such as the way you transition from the lyrics following the instrumental to doing your own flow on the song. I've noticed some have problems switching between those two styles, originally when I first started I thought the style was silly until you showed me it can be really effective and possibly the BEST if done right!
You're very inspiring to me and everyone else who makes these covers, you've been inspiring me to slowly improve my own videos and my overall health, I love how you're always positive, or at least you try to be positive for others, I even have problems with that sometimes.

This has made me start to almost think of error and ink as mythological gods. Ink represents the almost childlike optimism of people who make AUs, like he IS creation. Error represents the toxic community that attacks these things, the kind of people that get projects cancelled. The embodiment of destruction. I know this isn’t perfect because AU creators do not often have that optimism now, but back when underswap was a new thing and almost every AU had some ask-blog, there were some.

@@Kwestaloud I am a huge believer that the person's discarding our vessel similarity to Chara and the fact that our Undertale soul still belongs to Chara and chances are that this is the soul that was used for Deltarune as well are too big of Chekhov's guns to be not used by Toby to reintroduce Chara back into the narrative. I crave for more in-game Chara :)

This is fantastic! I love this new leaf the Undertale fandom has turned in the recent months. I really do wonder why this resurgence happened but regardless I'm happy it has. Also I love all the references you made in this song, it shows that you are a true fan that's been there from the good old days (don't get me wrong I love that people are still finding Undertale for the first time in 2024 too!). On top of that I just gotta add that the line "The only god here with you is me" is such a raw line!!!
2:06 reminds me of an ask error blog where error shook hands with someone and they held on for quite awhile and some other stuff happened but if you are referencing that nice!
I really like the moment in the cover when Error repeatedly thinks about his actions while addressing the same thought to his opponent. Knowing his trauma of loneliness, and how he has watched the suffering of other worlds without taking any action to save them, it's a very profound moment...

This is a masterpiece, although not perfect. The main place I mark down is certeant parts are WAYYY to glitchy and I get he gets like that but its obnoxious. Besides that single thing though its amazing and perfect. 9.8/10 I hope you continue this great work.
I wanted the glitches to be there and I wanted to make them obvious because I feel they're so integral to Error's character but I get what you mean. When I was giving demos out to people and asked for feedback on the glitches I was met with overall positives so I didn't think to change much, sadly. Thank you for the kind words!
