I've got this same box.But for the life of mr I can not find out how to close apk or apps running in the back ground. I had the ms8 before this one and it was no problem at all closing back ground running apps. Please help me. Thanks

What's the point of being a Google Certified device but can NOT play any of 4K streaming services like Netflix, Amazon, HBO etc. ?!
Better go with Mi Box S then which is at least Netflix 4K ready and cheaper!

Nice review.. Please tell me the following
1) Is this box Google certified?
2) Is this box rooted?
3) Is Google chromecast built-in this box?
4) Whether regular android OTA updates (security patch as well as firmware updates) are provided by the manufacturer of the box?

It is Google certified.
It is not rooted. I don't think a box can be rooted and get Google certified.
It is not Netflix certified at this time.
No clue on future updates. Mecool hasn't been great with updates in the past.

@@jobytsajuNo problem. I'm finding it to be a pretty good box if you don't need HD Netflix. It doesn't rank close to my nvidia shield pro, but I like it more than my mi box.
