A while back, I had the most vivid dream where I was guided to the Everly Brothers’ childhood home-a tiny, unassuming cabin that felt like a portal to another time. In my dream, I sang “All I Have to Do is Dream” with such raw emotion that I woke up in tears. 😭💫
When I woke up, I found out that this magical place was in Shenandoah, Iowa, just a hop, skip, and a quack away from Nebraska. I was astounded to discover that the childhood home of the Everly Brothers was preserved by Bill Hillman, a local hero who truly keeps the spirit of the Everlys alive. 🌟🏠
I made the pilgrimage, and let me tell you, the experience was nothing short of spiritual. The house was exactly as I had seen in my dream, a cozy little shack where musical dreams were born. I sang “All I Have to Do is Dream” again, but this time with sheer joy and excitement! 🎤🎶
The people of Shenandoah made the trip unforgettable, and I’m beyond grateful for their warmth and the chance to see the Everly Brothers’ memorabilia. The story of how Shenandoah welcomed them back in the ’80s was like a fairy tale come true. 📖✨
