I currently have a base on an official server not far from this location, in a small hole through the mountains just north of The Crevice. Every time I pass by this spot I've wondered how a base would do there. Pretty cool man.
Every time I watch one of his build videos, the same question enters my mind. 'If he wasn't in creative mode, how many tons of mats would it take to build this?' Also, this one in particular was kinda painful to watch. So many voids! I know much of it was for aesthetic, but I really hate wasted space.

Not possible without admin mode. First you need to develop characters, then you need a lot of resources. A lot of time and labour. Sorry :(
